Just Flight Piper PA-28-161 Warrior II

Two hours ago, on their Facebook page, Just Flight showed the first image of the Piper Warrior for MSFS. Not much information, but nice to see it is in the works.

I struggle a little to keep all the different PA-28 versions straight in my head - so the Warrior 2 is a Fixed Pitch , Fixed Landing Gear model from the mid 70s (about the same time as Arrow 3)?

Well it’s the older model with a 160HP engine and I think there were variants with and without retractable gear.

I’m curious about the cockpit differences to the Arrow III since from the performance and looks it wouldn’t be enough for me to buy it on top of the Arrow.

Would have loved to see a Seminole in the quality of the Arrow

Nice,

but I see this step from JF as probably not important, I feel they continue prepare aircrafts what they have their already prepared models in history. Their XP11 same models are nice, can personally confirm but somehow I expect different model type to what models now are already available for MSFS.

They might not be important to you and that’s fine we understand that. But for the many many people who have been enquiring when the Warrior and asking when it will be arriving in MSFS it would suggest that it’s fairly important to them.

The Warrior was very popular in X-Plane, nearly as popular as the Arrow and the Turbo Arrow so it makes perfect sense to provide new versions for MSFS too so that’s what we’ll be doing.

There are other aircraft in development for MSFS too and also others that we are discussing for future development so your expectations might just be met at some point. Thanks for the interest and custom, it’s appreciated.

Hello,

hope I wrote my post clearly, I said airplanes that are already available for MSFS so also Warrior  hope I’m not wrong hehe somewhere I saw Warrior for MSFS, where I don’t remember now, sry.

Aaaaah I see problem, JF will release Warrior 2 version, what OP didn’t mention.

There is none (neither Warrior, nor Warrior II or III), except maybe some plain port. But nowhere near anything that comes close to the quality of the JF Arrow III (which the JF Warrior II will certainly match).

I flew the Warrior in real life as a student pilot. If you already have the Arrow 3, I don’t think getting the Warrior is something that would be very compelling.

Just Flight have released some info on their development page:

@ Riverrover

Exactly what was my idea

But it’s very nice bird, I’m Piper max positive from my existing

As expected, they recycled a lot of the things implemented for the Arrow III already, including some of the panel textures etc.
Not saying it’s a bad thing, but that leaves me a too small difference to the Arrow III to justify a full price purchase. Still waiting for the Turbo Arrow though

@ Coppersens

To me Saratoga II TC only (steam gauges variant)! I have Carenado good Seneca but one engine horse still I missing…

Exactly, I might skip the Warrior (or maybe not?). But the Turbo Arrow is highly anticipated.

Fantastic.

MSFS has got me interested in learning to fly for real. Our local aeroclub use this model for introductory flights, training and rental so this is absolutely perfect to get acquainted before I’m ready to take the next steps.

I have a load of RW hours in a Warrior, so I’m really looking forward to this.
The Arrow is nice, but the Warrior is a plane I can relate to!

I disagree, I will definitely be getting the JF Warrior on top of the JF Arrow III that I already bought.

Context as to why? I am currently a low-hour student pilot training in the real-world Warrior II, then coming home and practicing my patterns and maneuvers in the sim. I tried practicing in the Arrow III and have found it feels very very different to the real-world Warrior (which it should, they are quite different in real-life as well). Things like much more weight (especially on the nose), much more power, higher speeds, different behaviors at low power settings etc. - are all throwing me off and make it hard to apply what I learn from my instructor.
It’s weird, but I’ve gotten better simulator practice - aimed at preparing me for the real-world training in the Warrior II - in the default C172 (apart from the interior, because the JF Arrow III instrument layout and look is really close to the Warrior II I’m training in).
Not everyone is in my situation, but for training, I am absolutely looking forward to this release. Soon please! <3

Agree. I’m not a pilot IRL, but in my rather detailed fantasy life, I’m drawn to airplanes I’d be likely to own or rent. The Warrior fits the bill more than the Arrow - not enough performance in the Arrow to justify the insurance cost or hourly for a complex retractable.

Did I mention that my fantasy life is rather detailed…? :sunglasses:

You are going to find that the real life Warrior feels totally different that a simulator version.
