Latest drivers, safe mode with a darn EMPTY community folder, only official content in the manager, all content up to date. CTD is either shorty after pressing fly or about 2 to 30 seconds after loading into a flight. This is not even funny anymore! I’m not on SU7.
You using an Nvidia card? There are issues with CTD and blue/purple patches. Rolling back to an earlier driver might help (did for me):
As mentioned by Geoff, SU7 is a mandatory update. I’d start there.
Secondly, what was the last change you made to the system? If everything was fine before, I’d look at any changes made (drivers etc.) that may have affected MSFS.
As mentioned by Down Low70, both Nvidia and AMD have recently released drivers that have proven to be less than stable. Use of a WHQL approved driver is always first choice.
Lastly, have you recently updated to Win 11?
I would go further and say how can the OP not be on SU7 ???
Also the driver issues are well documented so rolling back is the answer to that as you state
Ok so, Obviously I must be on SU7. I assumed I wasn’t because I’ve only heard it referenced as an optional beta. Haven’t loaded it up in a bit so that update may be a root cause of my CTDs. Drivers always cause problems with MSFS for me, but I’ll always update to the latest because I have a giant library of other titles that I want to be able to play, so downgrading is something I’ll pretty much never do. I am on Nvidia. Sorry for my stupidity here. I think I’ll wait for the next hotfix, because I ain’t rendering other games useless just to play this one.
i found a solution ..turn off windows graphic hardware acceleration…works for me ..been trying to solve this issue for 1 week now…
cheers
Interesting. Will give it shot later. That setting is just for Windows right(animations on what not)? Shouldn’t effect in game performance?
Yep, that helps. Still deeply confused as to why.
