Thank you Asobo and MSFS Team. Maybe tempting fate but I have had zero CTD’s and all updates have loaded perfectly. Superb.

I too had very little CTD. IIRC months ago I was trying to mess around mindlessly with the g1000 and CTD happened. Couldn’t reproduce it. And the second one I can remember was when I bought something from the marketplace. It said purchase failed and then boom another CTD. But that was months ago and haven’t had any more since then.
This simulator has issues for many people for sure, and I too have my unique demands, but at the end of the day when I think about the features it does best, and the accomplishment of the Microsoft and Asobo teams, I become grateful, thankful and it makes me forget about the issues.
Another trick I use to get around issues, albeit temporarily, is not to use features that might cause me grievance. Unfortunately others don’t use this trick, or refuse to do so.
For example, few updates ago there was an issue with the VFR map that would cause CTD when opened. Guess what? I didn’t use the VFR map, and used STKP instead. Guess who didn’t have CTD? Me! Guess who didn’t write a PHD thesis containing rants and moans in this forum? Me. 
I use this trick/approach in real life too, whether at work or home, and doing so made my life so wholesome.
