Justflight Arrow/Hawk updates

Apologies if I’m late to the party here but just been notified there are some updates for the Piper Arrows and Hawk on the Justflight website.
22nd Feb 2022

Just tried the Turbo Arrow III and it’s looking pretty good to me, though I’ve only been playing around for 20 mins or so.

Known issues with the Turbo Arrow since the update:

  • key binding for the heading bug doesn’t work
  • mixture lever moves but does nothing

Mixture lever works for me (Turbo Arrow III)

Confirmed on Turbo Arrow IV this afternoon.

Also, to have the AP follow the Flightplan input on the GNS530, the HDG switch must be selected. I do not remember that as being necessary. Maybe related?

Trim, at least for the Arrow, is all fouled up due to the “fix” for pitch jerks I never saw. The tiniest amount of trim will send you rocketing up or down.

Wish I could roll back.

Can someone confirm that the Turbo Arrow won’t show up unless it’s directly installed in the Community folder?

I use MSFS Addons Linker and install all my mod stuff onto a separate drive and just link what I want to use in a given session.

The Just Flight Arrow installer doesn’t ask for an install path, so I always just moved it from Community to my preferred location and Addons Linker did the rest when I wanted to fly the Arrow. This worked fine until today.

Since this latest update, I can’t get the Arrow to show up in the aircraft selection list unless it’s actually sitting in the Community folder, no symlinks.

Weird!

I just installed the linker software and when I tried to fly the Arrows with it, I got a license error.

I use Linker and love it. But I must admit I always install purchased items directly into Community.

And with the JF I got license errors previously when using symlinks (what linker does).

Yeah it’s odd - never had a problem until now.

Seems like there’s other issues with this update (heading bug doesn’t work for me either). A bit of a bummer since I really like the Turbo Arrow but I guess I can wait until a fix.

I also noticed the trim control (using controller), seems to now be crazily sensitive.

Only thing I noticed in the turbo arrow 3 was the increased trim sensitivity but was still usable via the buttons on my yoke.
Heading bug worked fine for me

Before the update, I just move the Arrow/Warrior out of the community folder into another folder, then install the new versions, unless I’m wrong, I’m thinking I could then just replace the new version with the old one if I wanted to, then just swap around again to the one I prefer. I think this would work.

This is what I do and it’s working fine here. I will note though, that I always uncheck it from the linker before a new install, and run the sim at least once with it directly in the community folder before moving it to its new home.

Yes, agree with the heading bug problem. Have reverted to previous version.

I see that the Hawk is now available on SimMarket for a better price than the JustFlight site. Is it the most recent version? It just became available today (2/22) and the new version was released today too, so just curious if SimMarket got the latest.

Per the forums the heading bug has been fixed and the update will be rolled out later today. No word on the wild trim as only SU7 is supported and those of us seeing it are using the SU8 beta I think.

Heading bug confirmed here also, using the Honeycomb Bravo.

Has there been any word from JF if there is a fix incoming?

Literally the post above yours.

If that post is to be believed SWS hadn’t (or hasn’t) even released it yet, even though the changelog was dated 2/17.

No wild trim issue for me; I am on SU7.

As expected, I’m sure a few payware aircraft will get updates post SU8.
