King Air C90GTx by Fast Cow Productions

It’s been brought to my attention that a developer I’ve not heard of; Fast Cow Productions, is working on a King Air C90 for MSFS. I’ll paste a comment the developer posted on the other C90 topic:

"Have started working this model [ourselves.]
We hate to see these types of comments, but would like [you] to know we are taking in your comments and making sure we don’t make the same mistakes. So by all means, please don’t be afraid to message us as we move forward in our building process

We are striving for as much detail as possible,
and look forward to feedback."

Their discord doesn’t make any mention of this project from what I can see, but I’ll include a link if anyone wishes to join: Discord

Here’s some photos the developer has also posted:

@HIR3Dkiller1 Feel free to make development updates here if you’d like. I’m very interested in following along with this project.

Kingair with G1000??

O wow Thanks @JollyGreen8206 Thank you,
Yes we are working are latest Kingair C90GTx with the avionics Upgraded to the latest G1000, As you can see in a preview photo.

Also you are correct the latest on this project has not been shared on the discord. due too, so involved in the development of this aircraft just haven’t thought about it.

We have been really wanting to share news about this new on this awesome aircraft. But been trying to get as much as we can correct and as real as we can. We have reworked and re-textured as well, To make it as best as we can, With working Circuit Breakers.

We have been reading thru different flight manuals and different images to get the best results as we can and we have decided to use the Garmin G1000 , Due to real life standards that was passed the start of 2020 I believe it was.
Also Just because it has the latest in Avionics doesn’t mean she don’t show some wear and tear.

Now we don’t want to give away all the supersizes of how far we are willing to go with our builds but I’m
sure you guys might be able to see some that wasn’t said Just in these few photos. Thanks guys for the post. And I will be sure to be back to give more details.

O and yes this aircraft is using WT G1000 NXi Mod.

Thanks Guys and love to see your comments good or bad. Thanks again.

More like “another King Air with a G1000”…

First and foremost, get rid of the G1000! Use Proline 21 (as in the CJ4) or Proline fusion avionics suite.

Avionics downgrade you mean?

The real aircraft doesn’t come with G1000, either Pro-line 21 or Proline Fusion is factory standard. I have flown King-airs, including the C90GTi, I have never come across one with Garmin avionics (although a STC does exist for GTi, not for the GTx as far as I’m aware).

There is an aftermarket option for G1000 but I doubt any modern Kingair has it, its more an option for older Kingairs with steam gauges or partial glass. A modern Kingair (GTx) with G1000 is phantasy aircraft. We already have one of those 💩 in MSFS (350i) don’t need another one.

Just Google for Kingair C90GTi or GTx cockpits, I can only find renders for the C90GTi all other G1000 equipped Kingairs are older ones. Even if they do exist, it must be a very rare aircraft. Going with G1000 on a GTx is a mistake in my opinion.

And for anyone wondering, this is NOT a Garmin flight deck, this is Proline Fusion:

The G1000 is at least more realistic than the silly choice they made for the default King Air. There are real aircraft out there with them which is more than can be said for the real fantasy of the G3X.

It would be nice to see a proline fusion version though.

I don’t think there are any GTx variants equipped with G1000, there is an STC for the GTi but not for the GTx as far as I’m aware. In any case, I have never seen one and most photos on Google are renders or older Kingairs retrofitted with G1000. If it exists, it’s very rare.

This is a C90B model with the G1000 Garmin setup I’ve be been in several times. Yeah its such a terrible thing having a G1000, its not for everyone but I’ve got so many hours with the G1000 for me I actually like it.

Before you say well its not a C90GTx yeah so what, its a Kingair with G1000 and as many other Aircraft I’ve been in and/or flown in its probably something most would love to have a chance to be in.

Yes as a retrofit it seems reasonable, better than the original C90B avionics. But on a new GTi or GTx it would be weird to retrofit the Proline avionics to inferior G1000 system.

The “other” C90 made for MSFS is supposed to use the Working Title Proline from the CJ4. I’ll admit that I would prefer the Proline, as it happens to be my favorite avionics. I don’t actually have the Working Title G1000 NXi installed since I use the GTN 750 as a replacement for all the G1000s.

OK guys, The main reason we have gone with the g1000, is due to that is more of a universal avionics. That we have in game and so on.

We have taken a look at the wt CJ4 avionics, and we would have to custom some of the code that has been a thought, and something that we want to do. We have also trying looking into the G3000 as well from working title. but that use’s a tsc so that not really real either. well that leave the g1000 or the g3x witch is not very good. even the working title version is not that great.

Also I’m not that great in Java-script to make a full avionics setup. so then we would have to hire some one and then that would be thousands. upfront. but we are going to take a look at the wt cjr see what all needs to be changed. and go from there. Im going to attache some photos of different ideas we have passed around

Are there plans to make a model with steam gauges, appropriate to the C90? A G1000 has no place here

I’m mostly indifferent to what avionics are used. I’d likely use the panel GTN 750 like I do with other G1000 aircraft.

another thing don’t understand the Incompatible livery. Have to do some digging in the code. Also limited on what we can edit on the code to to there copy-right.
But like I said we have been looking into the Rockwell Collins Avionics Not much documentation on it either. So we have been kinda stump on the avionics for this aircraft.

as long as it doesnt use the stock G3x, Im fine with that :man_shrugging:

Just to adress the elephant in the Room… but i was wrong.

Woof ~ Woof

Are you saying you have to own the BT Studios product to be able to use this one? I haven’t seen that mentioned anywhere else. Can you provide a source for that claim?

I haven’t gathered any impression that this model has anything to do with the BT Studio one. I don’t have insider knowledge, but I’m highly confident that this is its own separate product with no relationship to the other.
