KNKX Miramar California

I purchased KNKX Miramar 1980’s Marine Corp air base from Miltech Simulations this morning. Tried it a couple of times , CTD every time.
Went back this afternoon to try to see if I could get it working. The airport is no longer available, not even on my Xbox and now when I go to MP under the New Featured releases, it’s not even showing there?

Anyone know what happened to it?
How do I request a refund?

Thanks

At the top of the page, in the “Support” tab, complete the form in “Submit a Request”.
From the drop down menu, select “Purchase Issues”

Hello,

Apologies for this. The Xbox version was not supposed to be released yesterday, however, due to an internal error it got released for a brief few hours.

It was requested to Microsoft to take down the product as soon as possible. According to their refund policies, you may request a refund. That being said - the Xbox-optimized version will be available in no more than two weeks, and if you wish to keep your license you will have full access to the Xbox optimized version.

My humble apologies for the issues caused.

Thanks for letting me know what happened. I look forward to the optimized version .

I had a sneak peek, lol.

I’d like to take this opportunity to ask you if you plan to distribute this addon on the orbx store like your other products.

The Xbox optimised version still does not work. It CTDs every time, even after the latest update.

Unfortunately NAS Miramar has been brought to the bare minimums. A lot of detail has been removed on Xbox, all the LODs are highly optimized following Microsoft guidelines, etc.

It seems the area photogrammetry + heavy aircraft + scenery is too much for Xbox to handle under some circumstances. I’ve been able to use the product reliably and find some stability under the following conditions:

  1. Make sure Rolling cache is OFF. This seems to be an important source for instability on Xbox.

  2. If you are on Series S, I would recommend keeping Photogrammetry off. This will save important resources as the San Diego area is incredibly heavy in terms of memory usage.

  3. Avoid using any other sceneries for the are (eg. KSAN) when using Miramar.

  4. Turn to the minimum static aircraft/traffic/airport workers/airport vehicles.

Considering those, I’ve been able to successfully use Miramar on Series S with the F-14. Asobo is well aware of the instability issues occurring in these dense areas, and we are expecting the next update will improve things for the Xbox community.

Any further updates to the scenery would mean removing all static aircraft, or removing all vehicles, which is not the point of having detailed sceneries. The Xbox version is already 30% the object density found in the PC version.

I’m on Xbox Series X, took your advice about uninstalling KSAN and everything worked fine.
I still have my aircraft carriers installed, so it works for my military flights.

I don’t have the KSAN add-on and even tried the stock F-18 E and still have the CTD’s on load up.
I guess at this point having tried all the fixes per the previous thread (link provided by miltechsimulations who have been great in their support efforts), I have decided to move on from the Miramar add-on.
I only wanted it because I love the movie Top Gun and my grandson is in the Navy stationed in San Diego with the third fleet .
