KwikFlight B-1 Lancer Bone (B1 Bone)

Sweet! A surprise announcement. No need to wait a year for virtavia now. I got their B2 and am happy with it so I’ll def get this when it arrives on marketplace

The BONE kicks butt! Need a good manual though…

Anyone know where a manual is? NWS switch is modeled but will no turn on, can’t steer on the ground.

Updates no switches will move in the cockpit, dials will turn but switches nothing. They do highlight blue as active but will not move.

This looks to be targeted to a very young demographic…

It also had a problem with the wing decals not moving when the wings were moved to the swept back position. It looks like one to wait on for a bit, if something as basic as that was overlooked.

I disagree, I’ll get it as soon as it’s on marketplace. good enough for me. glad to have a B1

I will buy the B-1B as soon as it hits the Xbox marketplace. I don’t care about bugs. Updates will come automatically. Hopefully the Bone will come next week for Xbox…

Can we get a better title to the thread? I couldn’t find it in searching.

Yeah, it’s a pretty simplified rendition. Really waiting on the blackbird one for a higher fidelity rendition but this one will definitely work in the meantime once the bugs are resolved.

I cannot get the wing sweep lever to actuate. I tried both Legacy and Lock mode. It highlights, but it doesn’t move.
EDIT: solution below

Hello everyone!

Thank you for supporting KwikFlight. Just responding to some of the concerns I am seeing.

An update is in progress that addresses the issue of inoperative switches and buttons faced by some users when KF Spirit is also installed, along with a few other fixes (such as wing decal on Desert Storm livery).

In the meanwhile, if you have this issue you may remove KF Spirit from the community folder to avoid this issue.

The manual can be found it in the Community Folder (kwikflight-aircraft-bone > Resources > Documentation)

NWS Switch is modeled and needs ON to enable steering on the ground.

For the Wing Sweep, from the included manual:

The B1 Bone has a variable wing sweep ranging from 15 degrees (full forward) to 67.5 degrees (full aft). It is automatically set to 15 degrees on the ground for take-off. The sweep can be manually controlled with the handle on the left side console only when the speed is between M0.60 and M0.80.

Above M0.80 the sweep will automatically set to 67.5 degrees (full aft) for high-speed flight. During deceleration, below M0.60 the sweep will automatically move forward to 15 degrees (full forward) for slow speed flight.

Thank you
Greg

I am enjoying flying the Bone in VR but am finding that a lot of switches are not functional even when highlighted. I don’t have the B2 installed either.
Can you model the pilots? I don’t usually tend to change avatars prior to flying different aircraft so at the moment I have an airline captain flying the Bone.

@greggwisozk when will the bone come to Xbox marketplace?

Hi,
Can you check again with the latest update?

Also if you set the avatar to “default” you’ll see the default military pilots in use instead.

Thanks,
Rich

Hi,

Not Greg but I can answer that for you. Yes it will come to marketplace on Xbox as well as soon as it goes through the MS ingestion processes.

This may take a week (or two), so I can’t give an exact estimate.

Thanks,
Rich

From the online reviews and your posting it seems more of an alpha release than the FBW 380, but difference is one costs 25 the other 0. Is testing e.g. of a decal so hard to do?

I can’t believe you guys released a plane that was incompatible with the other plane of your company. That’s a first!
