#2024 I’ve noticed that the amount of light pollution on the ground has increased with the SU4, I used to be able to see the Milky Way in areas that I could in real life and I thoroughly enjoyed that aspect of the game and flying to and landing at places then taking pictures of the aircraft with the Milky Way visible in the background. You can still see the Milky Way in some locations but it’s not as broad of an area like it used to be.
I honestly use the sim as a real life photography tool. I would plan the trip in the sim and set the date and time to where I should be going than go there on the sim to plan my pictures and the Milky Way was quite visible in these areas on the sim but that’s sadly no longer the case.
As an amateur astronomer, I can tell you, you woulnd’t see the milkyway so often anymore due to light pollution - unfortunatly
You need really special places (at least here in middle Europe) to see it in all its glory.
Therefore maybe the change is now accurate

I do Astrophotography and travel all around the Northeast United States and I can assure you it’s visible to the naked eye in the areas I’m going to. You used to be able to see it in the game, especially in drone mode after increasing the brightness! Sadly that’s what’s changed though.

I bet you’re absolutely right

There’s probably no changing this sadly. I’ll give an attempt to voice my opinion and perhaps proof with real photos but we’ll see how that goes. Thank you for showing this to me!
Turns out comments are off it looks like I can’t reply to it.
