Welcome to Build-A-Cub! (No, not Build-A-Bear!)
The Piper Super Cub has earned its reputation as one of the most versatile and customizable aircraft in general aviation history. For decades, pilots have been modifying their Cubs for everything from backcountry adventures to everyday flying. Different engines, landing gear, wheel types, propellers, instruments, avionics, cargo and countless personal touches have made it nearly impossible to find two Cubs that are exactly alike!
We’re bringing that same philosophy to Microsoft Flight Simulator and this will be the primary focus of the Super Cub! With literally hundreds of customization options planned through Craft Pad, our goal is simple: Make your Super Cub YOUR Super Cub. We want every pilot to have the freedom to build something unique, with an aircraft that looks and feels different from the one parked next to it.
Along the way, we’ll be sharing occasional behind-the-scenes development insights, screenshots, and little sneak peeks into the work that goes into bringing all these options to life. From 3D modeling to the smallest functional details, there’s a whole lot happening in our workshop!
