GotFriends Q1 2026 Development Update
Well hot ■■■■, it’s been a minute since we updated you guys on how things are going!
Our team has been making slow but steady progress on the projects we have planned for 2026. The Taylorcraft is shaping up really nicely, and I wanted to share some photos with you all showcasing the variants being worked on (Floats, Bush, Skis, Classics), as well as some of the liveries planned.
We don’t have any concrete timelines, but we do anticipate sending this out to our closed beta team for testing the 2020 build this upcoming month of March, and collecting feedback while the 2024 native version is being worked on. From what we have seen and heard, it seems like the majority of our community has had enough time to move over to MSFS 2024 exclusively, which is phenomenal news. Our plan is to have the Taylorcraft supported for both sims, just to give the last few members of our 2020 community one last strong release. From there moving forward, however, we would really love to focus on one current generation of the sim. This way, we can make the best use of our time refining a project and deliver the ideas we’ve had, without being held back by the limitations of what we can and can’t support for both sims simultaneously.
The last couple years have been turbulent for many developers, ourselves included, but we want to extend our sincerest thanks to everyone in the community who has supported us flying both our freeware and payware aircraft! Its your dedication to aviation and flight simming that has kept us motivated, and your support on our payware addons that have kept our team afloat. We have updates in the works for both the AS33Me and A32 Vixxen, mostly consisting of some flight model refinements GotGravel has adjusted from real world pilot feedback, along with general minor bug fixes and QoL improvements based on your feedback.
As for the SuperGrravel… we know how much you guys are anticipating this one. I won’t share too much too early as to save the surprises & features for when we are 100% concrete on them. But we do have a lot of ambitions for this project to make it a flagship aircraft for GotFriends, similar to our PZL 104 Wilga. Many of which may very well only be possible in MSFS 2024, leveraging new modular systems (but hey, that may already be saying too much). In all seriousness, we only want to share what we have planned once we are certain we can make it happen. Till then though, so to not just share empty words, here are some WIP progress for you all to enjoy.
