Brief description of the issue:

What did you expect to happen?

  • Live real-world AI aircraft traffic to be generated in game
  • AI flightplans to be displayed in Live Airport Activity on World Map
  • Green aircraft icons for live real-world AI aircraft on World Map

What actually happened?

  • No live real-world AI aircraft traffic generated in game
  • No AI flightplans displayed in Live Airport Activity on World Map
  • No green aircraft icons for live real-world AI aircraft on World Map

Offline AI traffic is still working correctly
Multiplayer traffic is still working correctly
Only live real-world traffic is affected

Console error message: “unknown Command StartAirTrafficRequest”

Options - General - Data connections: Live real-world air traffic: ON
Options - Traffic - Aircraft traffic type: Real-time online
Options - Traffic - Use Generic Plane Models: ON / OFF
Options - Traffic - Traffic Variety: Any

Live traffic suddenly came back for me 20 minutes ago ! Seems that problem is solved now ! Yeehee !

Update 11/03/21:

Some live traffic data seems to be coming through in-game now, but the level of completeness is very limited, and seems to vary depending on which Azure server is selected.

If the server selection is set to ‘Automatic’ (i.e. automatic selection based on current lowest ping), and the server selection changes, then the live traffic data feed seems to break until you restart the flight.

By permanently selecting a specific server manually, I seem to get either live arrivals, or live departures, but not both at the same time. Even then, most of the flights shown on FlightAware are being dropped / blocked in-game.

(Live Airport Activity tables and green AI aircraft icons seem to be working again on the World Map, but without the corresponding traffic in-game, that kinda makes it worse).

Not even today.

Same today I do not have real live traffic again
