Brief description of the issue:

What did you expect to happen?

  • Live real-world AI aircraft traffic to be generated in game, as before 09/03/21.
    (Prior to 09/03/21, 100% of all flights included in the FlightAware data feed were generated in-game).

What actually happened?

  • Since 09/03/21, less than 10% of all flights included in the FlightAware data feed are being generated in-game.

Detail steps to reproduce the issue encountered:

Options - General - Data connections: Live real-world air traffic: ON
Options - Traffic - Aircraft traffic type: Real-time online
Options - Traffic - Use Generic Plane Models: ON / OFF
Options - Traffic - Traffic Variety: Any

I am re-opening this bug after my previous bug report was erroneously marked as solved and locked for further comment by community manager @OlieTsubasa earlier today:

As per testing and feedback in my earlier bug report, this issue is still present today (15/03/21) and I would be grateful if it were not to be marked as solved without a little further clarification / explanation please.

Since 09/03/21, real-world live traffic levels in-game are less than 10% of what they were prior to that date. For example, over a period of 1 hour at KLAX, only 5 or 6 flights out of the hundreds of KLAX-related flights included in the FlightAware data feed are being generated in-game. Prior to 09/03/21, 100% of included flights were being generated in-game.

Given that @OlieTsubasa marked by previous bug report as solved, could you confirm:

Firstly, that this AI traffic data-feed limit / throttling is intended by design?

If so, secondly, could you provide some explanation as to the reasons for this new data limit? (e.g. is it due to airline licensing concerns, to alleviate server-side congestion, to alleviate client-side congestion?)

As you are no doubt aware, I and many others have invested a lot of time (perhaps unwisely) in developing AI models and liveries, and now the ability to see those things in-game is much more limited than it was before. So I would appreciate it if you could provide some further information rather than simply marking this report as solved.
