Live traffic: dynamic registration on aircraft is missing the dash (-)

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:

Passive aircraft now feature a dynamic registration on their fuselage which reflects the real world registration of the aircraft flying. In the US this registration does not feature a dash after the country designator (“N700MS”) while in close to the rest of the world there is a dash visible (“PH-BXU”).
On SU2 all registrations look like the US ones, so the dash is basically missing. On FlightAwares website the aircraft registration shows however correctly, so it doesn’t seem to be a data provider issue.

All passive aircraft with dynamic registrations available.

No relevant mods or add-ons are installed.

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)?

Always, especially in Europe.

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

  1. Load to EDDF, LEMD or EHAM with live traffic enabled
  2. Check aircraft from Lufthansa (D-AIXX), KLM (PH-BXX) or other airlines
  3. The registration will be visible as DAIXX, PHBXX which is incorrect

Also I’ve noticed wrong codes will get used for things in NZ we have very specific naming codes after the ZK- I is helis, A is historic, E is general aviation etc noticed it last night with a helicopter I bought in career had a ZK-E registration which isn’t correct for my country

These naming conventions can be found on the internet for the whole world then it’s a simple can have this range for this type of plane if created in X country giving us more correct registrations again helping with immersion

This is a minor problem tho in grand scheme what I’m talking about the ops - is a valid statement coz yea in NZ we are ZK-XXX for registrations

That’s basically a different issue you talk about which is the generated registry for the player aircraft and not the passive live traffic which takes data straight from FlightAware (so ADS-B).

It’s also not a SU2 related issue and more some kind of a current limitation since release of the sim.

Yea understand but also have noticed it with the thing you said as being an issue other than that but will add my 2 cents there about correct regional registrations the weird things we care about right :rofl:
