Interesting. Are you saying you only had to do that once or each time?
It seems after I did it once and was never an issue, maybe twice (lol sorry Im old) if the time doesnt display right and I do the weather that way, all seems to be good, and the effect seems to last quite along time.
Having a new problem today it seems that my auto thrust wants to constantly act up. Ive gotten to the point where I just leave it off an manage the throttles by hand. I know on the A320 if you throttle up to much on take off AT will take over, so Ive been keeping it around 70-80% on take off, but today it doesnt seem to matter what I do, very strange.
What the normal temperatures? I usually get between -40 and -50 while cruising which seems realistic i guess.
I agree. I created a post about this a few days ago if you want vote:
I do exactly the same thing and noticed this too.
I just checked and It’s probably around 24-36 hours behind for me. Is it like this for everyone now?
You just want pretty clouds, your opinion is worthless on the subject, no reason for you to be in this thread.
You can’t say live weather is working and then say in the same breath you don’t care if live weather works you just want dynamic weather regardless of it being live or not.
No, it’s pretty accurate and matches what’s outside.
Another voice to add that ‘live weather’ is anything but (literally NOTHING like the real world), and the last 5 times I’ve started the game with it set I’ve seen thunder and fork lightening irrespective of the actual weather.
It’s a complete mess.

Temperature and pressure are also correct in MSFS. Seems as if I found a place where the weather depiction is quite accurate. Will check other places around the world now…
LOWW
LOWW 211020Z 12007KT 070V150 9999 FEW013 BKN015 11/08 Q1017 NOSIG
Temperature is 15 °C in-game, clouds are okay-ish, pressure is spot on.
Meteoblue forecast for LOWW:
KSAN
KSAN 211051Z 07003KT 10SM OVC017 20/14 A2983 RMK AO2 SLP100 T02000144
Temperature is okay, pressure in-game is 29.78.
KDEN (high elevation)
KDEN 211053Z 21009KT 10SM SCT250 08/M01 A2996 RMK AO2 SLP104 T00781006
In-game pressure is 30.05, temperature 16 °C–obviously due the faulty corrections for higher altitudes.
Meteoblue forecast for KDEN:
TL;DR
I take from this that there’s an improvement for the live weather, at least with respect to the initial conditions when I start a flight. It’s quite obvious that something isn’t right when it comes to pressure and temperature at high-elevation airports. but that should be easy to fix.
You should go back and re-watch the video from MeteoBlue and replace the word “live” with “dynamic” whenever he says that word and you will see that there was a language issue that has caused this confusion.
First, I have my PPL so I wanted “live” actual Metar accurate weather and this is what I was expecting and was disappointed with what we got. I think there is much more refinement needed with the current 24 hour refresh cycle they are using. Asobo should try and consume the MeteoBlue published set of world weather forecasts data as soon as new data is available.
We all know how good weather forecast are, right? But at least it is not random, well to be honest, the current implementation is not much better then randomly generated weather it seems
The last two nights the weather has been much better. Usually I get terrible results. I’m hoping that tonight the trend will continue. Maybe they fixed something. Although I’ve been in this boat before where I think it’s fixed and then I get a lightning storm and incorrect wind out of the blue. No pun intended.
Please upvote incorrect ATIS issues here → ATIS Conditions Incorrect - Few Clouds at 1,100 Feet
In your ex 30.49 and 30.24 is a 250’ foot error - if my decimal is in the correct place. So that would be unacceptable.
However, I’d say if the difference in altimeter setting falls within the 75’ allowed FAR error from field elevation, and this was the only visible difference…then that would be considered acceptable.
My current “live” weather…
The Meteoblue forecast for today. (00 00 is the current forecast)
Current METAR KETB 220255Z AUTO 00000KT 10SM -RA SCT044 OVC065 06/05 A3022 RMK AO2 P0004
The wind is for once agreeing from all sources. Too bad it is COMPLETLY wrong. For the last 8 hours, METAR’s haven’t shown winds greater than 6 knots and most of the time winds have been reported 0-4kts. Meteoblue’s forecast for earlier in the day does show winds out of the west at around 12kts. Temp is CORRECT, the pressure is off by .09. It seems like I’m getting weather that is about 12 hours old. Not exactly “live”.
Been raining here for the last few hours, nothing of the sort in-game.
This is the cloud cover I get when changing the time to daylight. It matches the cloud cover from earlier today.
Let’s hope when I get some time to fly this weekend I’ll get lucky with something resembling the real world. Otherwise, I need to figure out how delayed my “live” weather is and set the time accordingly. Hell, I wouldn’t care if it was behind a bit since I only really have time to fly in the afternoons and evenings and would prefer for it to be in the daylight.
Crossing fingers for you. But I don’t think I’ve ever seen an obvious offset between live and recent weather–will monitor that as well over the next few days.
My weather has been working fine for the last couple of weeks now, so I get up this morning, get coffee, and start game still all seems fine. Finish my flight, shut down sim, go do a few chores, then come back and start the game again, and guess what my time and weather are now broken again, and on top of that Render Scaling, which was a 200 this morning 600 am est has now reverted back to 100 again 800am est, so Im really starting to think that some of these thing are really related to network traffic, and not the game itself. ie non prime time the servers can handle the network traffic, but as heavier loads start to happen the server starts making adjustments to the game to help with the traffic flow.
Just a guess for now but Im getting more and more suspicious about this behavior being related to network traffic and not the game client itself.
Could be, actually, except for the faulty corrections for high-elevation airports. And the network traffic also doesn’t explain the inconsistent readings on the world map and in-game, from my perspective.
But yeah, network traffic might contribute to the issue.
Some weather observations from last night and today.
From last night
6kts from 36 is reality.
METAR

Weather conditions according to Meteoblue.
From today
14kts sort of ok, a little higher than observed.
Near unlimited visibility, nonstop lightning, nearest storms 60 miles away, had some storms 4-5 hours ago, very little lightning.
LittleNavMap simulator weather.
Meteoblue weather
And the METAR with LIFR conditions
KETB 221955Z AUTO 06009KT 1 1/4SM -RA OVC004 07/07 A3000 RMK AO2
No rain observed in-game even though LittleNavMap thinks it should be. Data seems to be a few hours old or possibly wrong. The way the weather engine is displaying it is incorrect regardless.
It begs the question;
Is the crux of the problem that live weather is actually working correctly but that MeteoBlue couldn’t reliably forecast that Monday follows Sunday.
Given TAF’s cover 24hr periods, what is the need for their involvement if their weather data is this incorrect?
nb - this doesn’t absolve Asobo from the 24/7 thunderstorms affecting all four corners if the Earth.
Meteoblue wouldn’t be where they are if they didn’t know how to predict the weather. The models are great, they for the most part match reality. The weather engine just doesn’t seem to be using the data correctly.
