METAR keeps disrupting the weather/ bugged weather/Cumulus/CB clouds only/no medium to high cloud coverage

After extensive playing today I am afraid I have to reinstate that the introduction of METAR clouds is having too mutch of an immersion breaking problem, not only immersion breaking but general performance of the sky. Today I was flying from a tiny island in the ocean, the METAR reported a few clouds, after loading in not only I am met from the usual towering cumulus, (while meteoblue had very high clouds) but also when leaving the METAR area I could see a wall of clouds surrounding the island, …

What happened to cumulus / cumulonimbus clouds? SU7 UPDATE Now too many?

UPDATE AFTER SU7 (1.21.18.0): Now all we seem to have are cumulus type clouds and ugly cotton “puffs” all over the place. They are usually the same height and are all over the place and the clouds look really bad. We have lost all cloud types that we used to see say back around SU3 and before. We have no more true overcast, lost the beautiful thin and (important) OPAQUE higher layers of overcast, broken and few, as well as lower layers of overcast, broken, and few opaque stratus type clouds.
