Are you using Developer Mode or made changes in it?

No

Yes

Brief description of the issue:

Provide Screenshot(s)/video(s) of the issue encountered:

Live weather continually makes the temperature at high altitude, FL250 and higher, to be way to hot, there by decreasing aircraft performance to the point that cruise altitudes are unreachable. The probes on multiple default airliners in the game will report the temperature to be -5C or even warmer at these altitudes when the winds aloft reports them to be around -40 to - 50.

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:

Multiple times over the last weeks, live weather has had outages for me. This manifests itself with temperatures of more than plus 50* C in the higher flight levels where flight planning whise minus 30-40 would be expected. This high temperature destroys fuel calculations and plane performance.
Additionally all cloud coverage gets removed and the air pressure is at standard pressure of 1013. Live wind seems to be unaffected as far as I can tell.

I had multiple appearances of it, once about 10 days ago and the issue lasted for pretty much the whole flight starting in LSZH and ending in RJAA. The second appearance was today the 18th of august on a flight from LSZH to BIKF. Until London, live weather worked as expected and somewhere over scotland, all clouds disappeared and above issues arrose with the high temperature.

specifically in BIKF there should have been a significant cloud ceiling and a qnh of 1019 with 10 C on the ground, instead it is blue skies, qnh of 1013 and temperatures of 20 C.

Weather settings:
Live weather and Live time, no weather addons.

FREQUENY OF ISSUE

Every few days to Weeks

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

  1. The issue is infrequent, but if it shows up, you just have to fly in any plane at around FL360 and compare expected temperatures with actual temperatures.

YOUR SETTINGS

If the issue still occurs with no mods and add-ons, please continue to report your issue. If not, please move this post to the User Support Hub.

What peripherals are you using:

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue: ISA extremely high during flight.

Weather: Live weather

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

Not tested - as it is live weather I assume it will be until this issue is resolved.

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

  1. Select Live weather

  2. Observe all atmospheric temps are much higher than predicted. ISA, TAT, SAT, etc.

YOUR SETTINGS

What peripherals are you using:

Not using Dev Mode

RTX4070Ti

AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D

Increased ISA causing poor AC performance. Not shown in screenshot but ISA was +30 at FL260.

After changing to custom weather, ISA resumes to more predictable values.

The same is occurring for me

This happened to me in the default Asobo 787-10, at FL400 the outside temp went from -50 to near zero, and the whole session was becoming unstable so I quit the flight

Happening today in the A340-300… At FL250 it is +5C. Cannot climb faster than +200fpm. Absolutely ridiculous.

This is still an issue here, even on SU4.

Same here, multiple aircraft. QNH is 1013, but there are some clouds it seems.

But the temperature at altitude is very high, above zero. So no climb performance. I had this problem on several flights.

So i have to turn live weather off and it will climb again.

Any news? The problem with the high temperatures above FL250 persists. Is anyone else having this issue? I can’t climb in the Ini A340 with live weather enabled, and I’m currently flying at cruise level without live weather.

Im currently over Greenland.

Same issue, enabling devmode and immediately disabling resets the live weather. Are you using any Weather addons?

Hello I have exactly the world problem a solution?

Yep can confirm TAT jumps during cruise. This has been an issue for some time now, and I struggle to believe it’s not more widespread than this thread suggest.

Can confirm it still happens. TAT 26C at FL360

Still an issue. Getting +20 Celcius at FL380. Getting bombarded with ‘‘airspeed low’’ as well as no climb perf. Issue goes away immediately after turning live weather off, and temp goes to -15C.
