According to support the next Patch will go live on the 27th, this can already be seen ingame with the core content pack ready and waiting in the Content Manager. The Pack will not install yet because the game itself needs to be update first before it will take the update pack so wait until the patch drops. Yes it will be a huge download again. I have had no success in applying the c172 G1000 liveries from the megapack, to the Classic version.

I copied and changed all the references in the manifest, layout and aircraft files with no success.

I notice that the default c172 classic, doesn’t have its own aircaft.cfg.

I don’t know it that matters.

It’s the same as the 787 or any premium/non standard aircraft. There’s currently an encryption of sorts in place where the aircraft.cfg is someplace else or it’s using a different method outside of an aircraft.cfg

Looks like many of the aircraft were not built with user enhancement/liveries in mind.

The 747 mirrored texture section is a classic example.

In fact, the whole texture and liveries approach is almost archaic IMHO

I’ll have to live with it and wait for some automated tools to simplify the process from a user perspective.

is there a restriction on the number of aircraft we can load? I had around 200 in FSX - not really because I needed them, but as a painter I did need to see my work in action - and I didn’t paint eacht aircraft only once, either. Some models like the Christen Eagle and the North American T6 had up to 30 different skins.

If I ever get started on skinning again, this may be a problem…

That’s an interesting question.

Just imagine if you had to scroll through 200 aircraft to get to the one you want.

IMHO, I think the current interface hasn’t considered that probability.

I have no clue what the restriction is, for some it crashes at 50 with others at 80 right now, ypthink it’s hardware dependent. Until we got the official method of adding liveries its justma slippery slope taking it a couple liveries at a time.

A question. Because not all libraries are taken in the megapack, what is the reason for the selection if the entire community is contributing?
