One Six Right (by the same filmmaker) is much better in my opinion, but that’s because I love “real airplanes” (aka prop not tubes!)

Sample of opening montage is here:

Love this, going to have to watch it again tomorrow!

It is excellent:100:

It not only inspires an interest in Aviation and to play MSFS - but it also instills hope🙏

Yeah - OneSix Right is much better and captures the spirit of GA. Same director.

Living in the Age of Airplanes feels like a Discovery Channel show, not a lot of actual “airplanes” in it, either, if I remember correctly

While I loved “One Six Right”, I enjoyed “Living In The Age Of Airplanes” a lot more.

LITAOA shows how we are all living connected, globally. We have the ability to go anywhere in the world that we want; due to the true freedom that Airplanes provide us. It is thoughtfully made and is gorgeous to look at; with narration by Harrison Ford and a moving score by James Horner.

It is like a beautiful travel brochure - showing the viewer all the ways that Aviation can bring us together; or transport you to anywhere in the world that you want to go.

I might give it another try, with more reasonable expectations

Somehow I was invited to the premiere of OneSixRight ( no idea, other than I was flying out of VNY at the time ) and had zero expectations. I thought it was surprisingly well filmed, interesting and really captured the passion for flying.

I was really excited after seeing the trailer for LITAOA, but when I finally saw it - I felt like I didn’t get anything new out of it.

Definitely give it another try!

I was blown away by it and it gave me several inspirations for where to fly in Microsoft Flight Simulator [when it releases on Xbox Series X].

I’ve been watching a lot of Aviation documentaries lately and LITAOA stands out as the best one so far :metal::100:

No digital downloads of either?
I don’t even own a DVD nor BlueRay player these days

Do you have a DVD/Blu-Ray drive in your PC - or an Xbox/PS4?

If so, you could watch it that way :+1:

I’m not seeing it on Prime, Netflix or YT and I’ve only been able to find both in 720p from “other sources”.

Yeah, I looked there first - you have to buy it on Blu-Ray to get the best video/audio quality. It’s worth it.

And it’s cheap - you can apply a coupon on Amazon to make it even cheaper :+1:

Unfortunately no
I don’t own any consoles and I haven’t had a disk drive in any of my PC builds in 10 years.:joy:

I bought a cheap Blu-Ray player at Wal-Mart for around $45.

It’s a Sony and very nice!
