Whenever I see that loading icon my frame rate drops. It’s very anoying at take-offs or landings. I’ve always had very smooth around 50 fps during the take off and now after SU8 with that loading gizmo…well…it makes me nervous. Is there any way to solve this ? I remember that I saw a video on youtube talking about turning the developer on and off or something…but I can’t find that vid anymore. Anybody ?

From what I’ve read, turning Developer Mode on and off is still the only fix. Since I do developer work occasionally, I just leave it on, and it doesn’t appear to harm my performance. You just have to get used to seeing that menu up there.

Thanks…so I just turn the devo mode on and off and that’s it?
Yup, but it won’t log your flight or anything (personally, I don’t care about that) The white circle ‘spins’ every time it logs an event.
And if you toggle auto hide on the File menu you don’t have to see it either

i’ve also had to enable dev mode since the last update due to that spinning circle.
since dev mode was on, also figured i’d check out the replay mode.
Oh wow, DNBOF I didn’t notice the auto-hide feature. I’ll have to do that.
