The first loading screen ie picture of plane is taking ages to load to next screen. Only since that last sim destroying update 13.
Mine is too and I have the Xbox series x. Then it crashes every time as soon as it spawns at gate.
Thought I clocked it full fresh after the splash screens for Asobo and that AI company that put all the boats at the bottom of the ocean at 2:24 using my TB chrono. Have to try again.
I had the same issue on my newer Xbox Series X, but not on my older Series X.
I deleted the sim from my newer one, took my Seagate storage expansion card out of my older one, plugged it into my newer one and copied the sim from it to my internal NVMe on the newer one.
Problem solved.
Now you tell me how the same sim can be installed on two different Xboxes differently enough that when I copy the version from one Xbox to the other it solves the problem.
Do you have the Garmin G1000 NXi installed? If you do, uninstall it and try.
I don’t have that installed.
HDD issue? Maybe a bad area on it. Or just a bad game install ?
Do you have any DLC installed? Or is it a stock core game installed?
I deleted the game 2 times and reinstalled it but it’s still doing the same thing. It’s weird tho because I have a series s as well and it doesn’t do it on there at all.
If I was the only person seeing the prolonged Splash Screen, then maybe. Since I am not the only person, I don’t think so.
The subtext of what I’m saying here is there is a myriad of weird issues here with the sim installation across, specs-wise, identical Xbox hardware. Something isn’t right in the downloading, decompressing and installation phase of some aspect of the sim. I’m thinking it is in the Content Manager content side of installation rather than the OS installation side of downloading/updating the base simulator program.
Looks like Nixon had something similar on his Xbox as well.
Yep I have a bunch of stuff installed from marketplace. But it all works in the series s. It’s so weird. I thought the x would be better for it to run on.
Read what I wrote, I have two Xbox Series Xs and they were behaving differently.
That is totally wack.
That could be it, issues when unpacking files. Could even be the server that you download from ( I assume they have several ). It could be on their side
I’ve had hard drive fail before in a similar way. It could be a high temperature difference and on and on. So many things could cause this, that’s the tough thing to diagnose.
yeah, i suspect not all xboxes use same components nowadays, there are several factories, but uh that gives us something to think about, yikes.
Yes, I say that because my second Xbox was brand new the day the 1.23.13.0 update came out — I bought it that afternoon and installed the sim that evening.
When I first launched the sim after downloading it from my Library, it launched quickly and the splash screen was only on briefly. It wasn’t until after all my content had been installed via Content Manager that the prolonged splash screen issue showed up.
I’m in the midst of redownloading all my WUs right now on this Xbox. I’d only copied the base sim when I transferred it from the Seagate expansion card and only installed the Kodiak.
It will be interesting to see if the prolonged splash screen issue comes back. Again, it certainly is not happening on my other Series X.
Ok so I deleted the sim from the new series x and then copied the sim and did exactly what ur doing rn. It’s the same sim as on the series s and the splash screen was normal at first but as soon as I installed all my content the prolonged one came back and ctd all over again. I did that earlier before I found this thread.
For the record, these do not have Hard Drives, so issues that apply to a mechanical device don’t really apply to a solid state NVMe. Yes, heat could potentially affect them, but I’d expect to be seeing many more issues than a slow splash screen if that were the case. It isn’t like the sim screws up, for me, while running, and that is when the Xbox and its hardware are working their hardest.
Well, after installing the WUs, my splash screen on this second Series X is now taking 19 seconds to clear. When I had every piece of content installed it was at 54 seconds, so this is better, but I’ve still not installed all my airplanes, scenery or G1000NXi.
EDIT: Installed everything except the G1000NXi and my splash screen time went down to 12 seconds.
