Would like to see this classic aircraft in MFSF2020. A beautiful design and long serving type for many airlines and air forces. The Lockheed L188 Electra
The JF Electra imports nicely, with VC

Thanks for the reply.
I shouid have been a bit more specific and said Lockheed L188 Electra but, I will give the one you suggested a go.
Hi there,
I altered the title to specify the L-188 model.
I’m totally agree with you, the L-188 will be a very very good choice ! We never had a good one…And i’d love to see a Convaire 440 too !
I’d rather the P3 Orion.
Hi!
I know it’s the “other sim”, but there is a nice L-188 Electra for XP12 that FlyingTak developed as freeware and that I’ve had a hand in doing the livery artwork. It’s a good model until we get one for MSFS 2020.

I was a big XP11 enthusiast but I change for MSFS, and I don’t want to install XP12. The L-188 you talks about is looking nice but not enough to me, but I’m really looking for a real good L-188 with completes systems and a 3D panel…This kind of machine are great in MSFS (like DC-3/DC-6/DHC-4(even if in this one there’s still a lot to do to make it “pro”…) …It will be really cooooooooool to have it, same for the Convair 440 !
This would be great for a famous flyer
That airplane should be a fantastic addition to the famous flyers series. A plane that has done a great history. It’s a very beautiful and charmous plane. The sound of their Allison engines are marvelous. What a great plane!!!
Absolutely, a great aircraft. we need developers to focus on aircraft many people would be interested in. I don’t see people flying the Junkers F13 or the Latecoere around … the L-188 will be a way better choice. I would’ve picked this up as the Local Legend for the Canada update. Hopefully one day we can hear the distinctive Electra roar in msfs/
Agreed. I’d love to see this bird modeled fully with 3D cockpit. It’s really a beautiful plane. Enjoyed seeing Buffalo fly them on Ice Pilots
I’m on board with loving this model
Incredible…no one is doing such an aircraft???
End of the line for RAAF Orion The Orion variant of these aircraft is deeply embedded within me due to the 20 years I spent maintaining and travelling around the world with them whilst doing so. They are a fantastic aircraft and amazing mechanically, a true mechanics aircraft due to their complex mechanically controlled systems. The last RAAF P3 did it’s last flight 05 Dec 2023 after 55 years of service.
Spent 10 years maintaining and arming the P3 (C140). Have since been moved to a different fleet but man do I miss them roaring T56’s overhead. With the P8 replacement coming down the pipe I sadly dont think ill work with them again.
I wonder what the odds are that we’ve had a beer at the same interational parties. Been around the world with the P3 as well and had a ton of fun with doing it!!
Yes, please!
