The Lockheed T33 is a very important aircraft in the history of aviation built in about 6.400 units and widely used in the word.
But seems to have been forgotten in the last years for flight simulator developers. The best rendition was from Tim Conrad for MSFS2004 surprisingly LM announced a T33 for P3D but never finished it and for XP8 there was a 2D panel version.
Wolud be nice if someone is encouraged to make one.
This is a screenshot of the (to my knowledge) never finished P3D T33 made by Classic Jet Simulations :
Also, a Grumman F9F for carrier landings. Not the same manufacturer but similar look and design as the T-bird. In DCS also, with their super carrier module.
NOTE: The use of âIâ in the following post means ONLY me, and not to be confused with inferring that anyone else feels the same.
âIâ like to fly aerobatic team liveries (the main demonstration team) and operational liveries that represent the actual aircraft that were flown.
The T-33 does look nice in a Blue Angel livery though - itâs like a real life âfictionalâ livery. â and yes, I realize this statement is a âcontradictionâ. In a similar sense that it seems unlikely weâll see a Blue Angels Cutlass (addon/livery) any time soon, so at least the T-33 with the Blue Angels livery will probably be realized and enjoyed.
Not fictional! That pic I posted is indeed a modern private T-33 in a Blue Angels livery. However, the Blue Angels did use the T-33 (TV-2 at the time) for VIP rides, etc. from 1952-1954.
This is the original aircraft, not the modern one still doing airshows:
(They also had an SNJ in the 40âs, would love to see someone do that yellow paint job for the Asobo T-6.)
Iâm with you on wanting all the display aircraft, though! Especially the Cutlass. Iâm hoping Virtavia eventually brings the FSX Cutless up to MSFS. Not the right sub-model, but probably as close as weâll get! Right now we have the Hellcat, Cougar, Phantom, Skyhawk, and both Hornets. Need a Panther, Bearcat, and a Tiger (another one Virtavia has for earlier sims).
You didnât add your gaming platform to your profile, so I canât tell if youâre on PC or Xbox.
Iâm on PC, it works perfectly for me in this regard.
Do you have any of the Avatar products installed? Are you expecting one of its pilots to show? Perhaps this plane wasnât written in such a way to support said products? I donât have any of those products, so canât help there.
If youâre on Xbox, I have no suggestions as Iâm on PC.
