Logitech G Hub profile add for MSFS 2024

Hi,

I have a question regarding G Hub by Logitech. I’d like to have profile for msfs24 to be run automatically, mainly to use mouse buttons (502 Hero) to switch views - profile would have custom camera keys assigned to mouse buttons. This is how I use it to quickly change view during a/c preparation.
I have a problem with creating such profile, as G Hub doesn’t find the FS while scanning for games and when I try to add it manually, it doesn’t have permission to point to FlightSimulator2024.exe file (system error message about permissions and ownership).
Any idea how to proceed? Change ownership and rights for FS2024.exe? It’s also not easy, system doesn’t allow for this in standard way (Windows 10).

Regards,
Paweł

Did you get an answer - I got the same issue

I haven’t got any answer, but it works for me.
What I tried to do was a bit silly - I moved original exe file from FS location, then I created a new file (it was simply text file) and named it Flightsimulator2024.exe, making sure there is no more hidden extension. And I was able to create profile using this file. Off course I moved original exe file replacing the fake one.
Not sure what it looked like exactly, but at first I was sure it didn’t work. But when I started FS I found out that G Hub is using new profile. And I was able to create mouse key macros.
I’m sorry I’m not able to tell how it looked or even if it was my method that allowed to have that GH profile.

VaposOne, your idea is genius! BUT I still can’t get it to work. I have several profiles in Ghub and it never switches to anything unique for MSFS. Was there anything else you did or can think of? My path is correct, and it is listed in the profile settings. It simply will not switch over to a different keyboard layout.

Brilliant.

Hmmm … MIne doesn’t give me a path, it did change the “default” to “Flightsimulator: Default” - It works with MSFS 2020 and my GHUB and 502 mouse.
All I did was rename the .exe to .exe.orig, then make a new text file and call it Flightsimulator.exe - make a new GHUB profile to that file, then once made, delete it and rename the .exe.orig to .exe and it works.
