I have not used the USB Powered Hub just yet. Probably tomorrow. However, after doing some further testing. I have changed the power setting for the yoke system to make sure that the computer does not turn off the device to save power. Also, I have rolled back the device driver back to 2006. I still had some issues with the yoke becoming unresponsive, but then I was flying all over San Antonio for approximately 30 minutes without the yoke becoming unresponsive. Definitely some improvement from the 5 minutes to unresponsive state. I have come across another problem. Now when I unplug my Yoke system from the USB and/or plug it back in, the game crashes⊠This is no bueno. I saw that someone posted a very similar issue, but no resolution. Hope to get that powered hub tomorrow.

I just wanted to throw this in here in case your issue doesnt resolve itself.
In preparation for fs2020 i pulled all my fsx gear out and got it all setup only to find my saitek yoke (same as yours) wouldnt connect anymore. Im a bit techy So i tried literally EVERYTHING to make the thing work with no success.
I just wasnât prepared to spend another 240 CAD on a yoke so with little to lose i broke the thing open , ripped out the guts and installed an arduino lenard in there with a program emulating an xbox controller (xinput). It does take some soldering to lengthen wires, and a bit of time identifying wires vs buttons, but with some guidance (iâm willing to provide if need be) you could have Your yoke back up and running for $14 bucks and a bit of wire.
I wasnt able to get the mode switch or the buttons on the lcd panel working (or the lcd panel) because i ran out of inputs for xinput. The xbox controller doesnt have as many buttons. I was able to get 4 extra potentiometers (analog dials) working though, so it was a bit of a bonus.
I hope you get your yokes working guys, but if you dont and want to go this route just let me know, its really easy once youâve got all the info you need (which i can give to you)
Ditto - I also changed the power settings on the USBs to make sure they arenât unintentionally turning off. Updates those drivers too. I thought about rolling back the yolk drivers.
Got a powered USB and the AC charger arriving today so weâll try one or both of those out too.
Oh good!! Yeah, my buddy couldnât find his Powered USB Hub⊠So thatâs not happening. Let me know if it helps. If not, looks like Iâll be putting in an order for a honeycomb yoke. lol
Yes, I made my own profiles instead of the default Yoke profile. Sometimes the controls seem to work properly, but after a while they donât respond anymore.
Any luck on this?
i have the same problem!!! i think about at msf2020 dont know the problemâŠ
The powered USB hub didnât fix the problem, but I did take the cockpit apart and when I plugged the yoke straight into the PC (no extension USB) it worked basically plug-n-play.
So that extension usb cord was bad or too long or something.
*I will say, I have it running now with a different extension USB (20ft) and it works pretty well. However, my yoke pulls to the right and Iâm not sure if itâs a setting or the cord is causing the problem. I need to tinker with settings to see if I can alleviate it.
What a hassle.
Are you plugging the Saitek into a USB 2.0 port? If you donât be prepared for dropouts.
My pc didnât have a 2.0 in my case. Had to add a cable to the motherboard and use a 2.0 port.
Flew today for 2.5 hours, and NO DROP. I use a usb2.0 port, with the addition of a externally
powered usb 2.0 hub. Problem solved. Look at Logitechâs documentation. It calls for usb 2.0. I struggled with the controller and usb 3.0 ports for a LONG TIME.
My yoke wonât work at all if plugged into a hubâŠneeds to be connected directly to the MB. Donât know why.
The Saitek hardware is particularly sensitive to power provided through the USB, and the panels in particular will not work through USB 3.0.
Michael Brown over at Xforce PC has a video on the issue among the dozens he has made. If you are a serious simmer and closet hardware geek, you need to see what he covers.
I plugged a 20 watt hub into a USB 2.0 port and tied the Saitek panels to that combination and my problems with this particular issue went away.
Amazon Plugable USB Hub, 10 Port - USB 2.0 with 20W Power Adapter and Two Flip-Up Ports.
Also, Windows has some issues trying to automatically lower the panels to a power saver mode. That needs to be disabled. A free utility to accomplish that task is available and has been mentioned elsewhere in some of the discussions. http://uraster.com/en-us/products/usbenhancedpowermanagerdisabler.aspx
Logitech have released a plug in for MSFS just a couple of days ago.
That could be a game changer. Do you have a link to that?
Will the Logitech yoke system Become available again? If not when will the Honeywell system become available again?
Excellent data PccmanâŠand Wellcome to the forum!. Grettins from Argentina
Hi
First of all welcome from us in the UK
I have just this week received the Logitech flight system
Iâve been having no end of trouble with this
Problems are as follows
- Yoke is off center
I didnât want to mess with the Windows 10 registry. there is an App you can get that does this for you
from the Logitech site
Current software
Press Windows key and r
type in joy.cpl
In game controllers select flight yoke system and properties
Check calibration and switches if itâs out mainly the x and y axis then proceed to clear out the old settings
I downloaded an App to change the registry settings
Clear settings reset using Flight Yoke system settings
This also cured my Xbox controller from making the plane keep going right
It also worthy of note that in the Microsoft Flight Sim sensitivity settings increasing settings for the null zone for the yoke can improve this I made mine around 10% buy try different settings
All this was OK until I got an update fro Flight Sim where I had to go through the process again
Problem 2
In the main Microsoft Simulator Screen while flying the Flight Yoke Controls go dead
I set The PC power settings all to maximum performance and turned off the USB sleep mode
This still happens after a few minutes of play, however all is OK with the Xbox controller
A reboot also cures this
Problem 3
The In game window selections AI Weather etc disappear after time in play, very odd refuses to come back after reboot reload or restart
I removed the yoke and popped in the xbox control all OK
Working fine for many hours
Today I have plugged the yoke in
I havenât seen the AI , weather menu disappear yet
After flying for 20 Minutes the Controls stopped working again
A reboot was needed to correct this
I have asked Amazon for a refund for the Yoke System as its driving me nuts
I am still having trouble with my Saitek Pro Flight Yoke System and msft fs 2020. I have the latest Logitech driver downloaded ,but the bloody elevator and ailerons donât work properlyâŠall over the place . Everything else worksâŠbut unflyable. What else can I do? The yoke works perfectly in windows 10 and the game settings, but not when the game starts. The elevator flutters and the ailerons kinda work.
HELP!
