Long Shots: Your unusual, rare or niche aircraft wishlist

Oh the dash 8 joke, the Jaguar is on my must own list. Especially if they get that funky landing gear right. Thought it was the DASH being referenced. Some vaporware DASH 8 is supposedly around somewhere and everyone has skipped over the DASH because of it. Even though many would own three versions of it three existed. Makes the DASH 8 the most missing long shot aircraft in the sim.

That’s the rumored Majestic Simulations Q400 which will be a port over and will be in development until at least mid 2025, per the developer. No-one else is jumping on this because of Majestic’s pedigree with previously producing a full systems-simulation of the aircraft for P3D. So…likely not going to see a Q400 version of the DHC-8 for at least a year / year and a half yet.

Great idea, some cool planes in here.
Stratocruiser for me.

Yea no idea of the white elephant joke.
I was referencing this coming to MSFS.

VFW-Fokker 614 - not just for the above-wing engines but the very unique cockpit
AN-70 - but can MSFS even handle propfans, given the struggles with turboprops?

Right, and someone else could have sold 100k dash 8s by now. The fsx supposed port will be a white elephant FSX port 2 years after everyone jumps ship to 2024. Nobody will stay on 2020.

Thanks, I’ll have a look at it tonight.

I’m surprised we don’t have a Duck after all these years. +1!

I’d love some of the more obscure piston twin prop-liners of the 1950s, eg: Martin 404, Convair 240, Ilyushin 14, Vickers Viking , etc

Especially the cargo variant:

Convair 580

Aerospatiale Corvette

Almost all of the aircraft I “really want” are already in development. The one high fidelity addon I “really want” to be able to fly in MSFS/2024 that I haven’t seen any announcements for is the Boeing B-47 Stratojet. The first visually elegant U.S. turbojet bomber design, AND it had a high visibility fighter-like cockpit with a bubble canopy:

I’d like a Travel Air 6000, so that I may live out my ”Only Angels Have Wings” flying scenes recreations.

I need a Victor to go with my Vulcan

If we collectively buy enough GAS Stearmans maybe they’ll do it. Seems up their alley

… just popped up in the new MSFS 2024 trailer.

Yes, I was really excited to see that!

Northrop XB-35

Boeing X-32 (The happiest li’l guy ever!)
