Looking for a good 737. Recommendation?

Hi. I am flying exclusively MSFS2024. Looking for a good 737 for VATSIM flying so functioning COM1 and COM 2 would be nice. I found some planes only broadcast on COM1. I am not concerned about flying authentic routes so no objection to flying for example 737-800 on routes which IRL are flown with different variants. I don’t really care about that level of realism. Basically I am looking for a well sorted out plane with good level of systems fidelity and as little bugs as possible  Anyway, looks like my options are iFLy and PMDG. PMDG has 4 options which warry a lot in price. I don’t mind paying for the most expensive option if it’s really worth it but if possible of course I would not mind a cheaper package and save some money. My flights are rarely longer than three hours. Which should I go for?

Hi @BartZiemski

Great question, and as you pointed out you have a number of options!

PMDG just yesterday released the 737-700 for MSFS 2024, which is the first in their 737 fleet to receive an enhanced visuals package. Their -900, -600, and -800 will all receive this update soon. I’d honestly pick whichever one you feel you’d enjoy flying the most as all of the PMDG 737 fleet are of the same overall quality level. You may want to make your decision based on the price of the variant, or whether it includes a BBJ (Boeing Business Jet) variant, or a cargo variant too for variety. The -800 is the one most commonly used out of the four variants by real-world airlines, so you’ll likely find the most liveries for that variant.

The iFly 737 MAX 8 is also very good in my opinion, and is another solid choice to look at. It’s still got some areas of improvement needed and the iFly team are working on a big update (although we don’t have an ETA for that to release yet).

Hope this helps!
