Looking for an addon that would read down the checklists for me

Hello

I’m looking for an addon that is able to basically read down the checklists - but not execute it. Just read it down for me. I know about P2Crew but this is a rather complex tool with a lot of functions I’m not looking for.
Can you recommend anything lightweight maybe?

I use Axis and Ohs. It has a checklist function that I use on the Bae146 on every flight.
I do the checklist actions by memory and then use the voice checklist function to check my work.
It actually looks at the lvars in the plane and knows if the switch is in the correct position.
For instance, if the taxi lights are set correctly it says taxi lights on, or if the switch is in the wrong position it will say check taxi light.
I downloaded it from flightsim.to.
Search for “JustFlight BAE 146 AxisAndOhs (AaO) Voice Checklist”
I modified it to suit me. It is a simple xml (text) file

NIce - thanks Lance! I will take a look

Have you considered buying a dictaphone? They are pretty lightweight.

Hey
With “leightweight” I meant an application that is not too complex to use and that does not use too much of my pc resources.

Hay.

Precisely. Get a dictaphone. It ticks all your boxes.

Or get yer Mam to read it out to you - although I’m not too sure how “lightweight” she is.

For the Airbus Family you can try A320 Checklist Voice if you have Android smartphone or Tablet. Working very good.
I use this app for all flight.
You have a Demo to test it.

There’s already a tool that can do this: Checklist Reader – Voice Controlled Checklist Tool on flightsim.to

https://flightsim.to/file/96054/checklist-reader-voice-controlled-checklist-tool-beta-v1-0-0

It’s a standalone program that reads out your checklists and lets you progress through them using voice control. Basically, it brings back the “co-pilot reading the checklist” experience that many of us miss in MSFS.

Thanks mate! Only saw your response now - will check it out!

Lightweight and elegant solution I use. The only downside is that it has only voice control, so it’s hard to use alongside voice-controlled ATC.

This looks very useful. Does it work fully with MSFS2024? I haven’t been able to see that on their website. Thanks.

It doesn’t depend on the flight sim. You can use it even for cooking. Strictly speaking, it has some kind of connection to MSFS 2020, but I see no point in this. We communicate like:

me: Start preflight checklist
app: Check oil pressure
me: Check
app: Check oxygen level
me: Check

etc.

Thanks for your reply. I’ll give it a try tomorrow. Most grateful.
