Looking for an LSA in MSFS

Hi there, I am training for my sports pilot license in a Sunward SA60L, and I am looking for an ultralight/light-sports available in either sim resembling the aircraft so I can make some comparison videos. I wish the model to be low-wing, 2-seat, fixed tricycle gear, and powered by a Rotax 912 ULS engine with a MTOW of 600kg. Also, it features a Garmin G5 with steam ASI, Altimeter, VSI as backups.

The only similar ones I found were Van’s RV-12 and Fly Synthesis Texan, neither of which has a decent model. Has anyone come across similar aircraft? I’m guessing there are more light aircraft available for MSFS than other categories :joy:

Would you consider the FSReborn Sting? It’s a great model from a great Developer.

Thanks for the reminder! I have it in my hangar but unfortunately it has full glass cockpit.

Are any of the SWS Vans (RV-8, RV-10 or RV-14) in that weight class? No idea, but they fly nice and pretty sure are all analogue cockpits with a Garmin option (not sure about G5 though).

Or Deejing’s freeware Vans RV7A?

How about the JMB VL-3? Too fast probably.

Stream TL by LightSim, but not sure what cockpit features it has off the top of my head and it’s a tandem 2-seater.

Breezer Sport by Thomas Lauterjung looks similar. There was a payware one by ORBX too but don’t go there!

At a push, the Piper Tomahawk PA38 by Just Flight?

Deejing’s freeware RV4 would be closer to the LSA mentality, I think, and all analog (the RV7 for '24 is all glass, and while the RV4 is for '20, it works flawlessly). It’s quite fast unless you keep the throttle back though.

ISTR there being a Rans or two in FS20, which might, depending on which rans model, be a rotax engined LSA.

Also, most of the ‘* Fox’ aircraft use Rotax engines, so they might be worth going through.

Fox and Rans is High wing tho.

Yep, but I suspect one trait will have to be compromised on - the Vans are all Lycomings (apart from the RV-12 mentioned by op)

Basically ‘Analog, Low wing, Rotax, pick 2’

Not available, but coming soon - Erasam has a Tecnam P2002 JF that is a close match to your Sunward. I think it’s coming out of Beta Test soon. Possibly 1st half April.
