Not good. It appears to be an issue with Microsoft Gaming Services:

[KNOWN ISSUE] Authentication/Insert Disc/Logbook Lost/Unable to sync with cloud etc

We are aware of the issues with: You need to set up your settings every time you start the sim Your logbook is showing 0 hours Your achievements have been reset to 0% You receive message “Please insert the Microsoft Flight Simulator Game disc” You receive message “Your Game License cannot be authenticated” You receive message “Cannot sync with Cloud” Any other account issues with authentication This issue is caused by Gaming Services and Microsoft is currently investigating it.
