You also have to question the size and abilities of your internet provider as all are not equal and for them bandwidth is expensive. The pipe from their servers to your house can be perfect but beyond them they only look for what’s best for themselves. Personally I hate having to deal with big impersonal companies but sometimes you just have to concede that they do it better.
So this is now happening to me.
Have never had this notification until today.
Game is now unplayable
There’s a good chance, as in my case it’s your isp’s route to the sim or they’re throttling you. Most likely it’s the route they are using. Best thing to do is to get a vpn provider and turn that on before you fly. Warning if that vpn provider were to use that route it could still give you an issue, but in my case, my route was different so it fixed my issue immidiately. I went from 3Mb/s of data download to 75 Mb/s . Frontier may have been traffic shaping me, or they may have been (which seems more logical) having issues with that route. That’s not on msn either, it’s on your network provider.
Same here.
I cant play because appear the message “No online connection”.
I’m starting to get fed up with this… it’s just trouble after trouble.
That’s not really related to the thread. There is currently an outage. Please Stay On-Topic here. Do NOT use this thread to talk about the current outage. We’re informing people so that they’re not confusing the two. One is a long-term defect, the other is a service outage, which happens to every online service at some point.
This is a new one for me. Everything worked fine yesterday and today I was having stalled loads of msfs. When the game finally loaded to the point where I could set up the flight and hit the “fly” button, the game loaded about normal until the last quarter of the load and then it went very slow. When the screen finally switched to the aircraft ready to start the flight I got the message that my bandwidth was too low for data streaming and I had been switched to offline mode. I did a speed test and am at my usual 104Mbps on a fiber optic network, so I can only assume the streaming problem is on their end. Has anyone else encountered this?
I just responded to your post on FlightSim. I have had the same thing occur twice. Very random and no changes have been made to my internet program since the purchase of MFS August 2020.
Thank you so much brichiuk, you are the man! I’ve searched and searched, and re-installed MSFS but always had the same issue. I would’ve thought a company such as Asobo/Microsoft would’ve sorted this themselves, considering how many simmers have had the same issue.
I’m so glad I came across you solution. Many thanks. Problem fixed.
Have a lovely Christmas and New Year.
Why would they sort it out, its a third party addon which they clearly have stated numerous times, we dont support this.
If you install something else how can they be responsible?
My pleasure. Merry Christmas
what is the solution?
I have written several times in this forum complaining that MFS disconnected me from the Internet when starting to load the game. Then, after a long time, it reconnected. During the flight it was disconnected and connected continuously, making it impossible to perform a normal flight. I used 5G wireless Wi-fi with speeds of 300/200 Mb/s, normally, (without having MFS loaded). When MFS was loaded these speeds dropped to less than 10 Mb/s. Many of you kindly suggested many possible solutions that I tried without success. I also connected with Zendesk and they responded very quickly but their suggestions did not fix my problem either. Well, I have finally found the solution and it is very simple. I have connected my PC and my router directly with an Ethernet cable “et voilà!”, everything worked perfectly. I have installed it for a week and at no time have I had the problem again. I have contracted 1000Mb fiber optics and now my bandwidth ranges between 900/500 Mb/s. Internet browsing and MFS upload speed have been greatly improved.
I have wanted to explain it because I have seen that many MFS users have this same problem and I sincerely believe that this is the solution. Thank you very much to all of you who have tried to help me.
Merry Christmas!
Hi @PrincessTax1295 … thanks for reporting back… we spoke about and its also good to know about the final reason
Glad it was a solution for you. I’m also connected with a Ethernet cable to my computers (never use wi-fi with MSFS) and have these messages to switched offline very often. For a week I had no problems, but yesterday they started to appear again. I’m afraid the problem persists and it’s on MS’s end.
I’ve had my sim PC connected directly to the router via a LAN cable since day one. Is still get this annoying error with MSMS.
I also get this error, since last update. I am connected to the internet via Lan Cable to a Wlan repeater, and once I start flying, the PC constantly loses internet connection. It reconnects and looses the conection again and again.
When I am back in the main menu it works without problem.
First I thought its the "off Screen pre-caching " setting causing this, because I set it to Ultra. But I also get these errors on medium.
No clue whats causing this , as all other games work without these issues. And I only get these errors since last update. Before I never had this problem.
Hello I’m having problems with getting notifications that I lost connection and that I don’t have enough bandwidth. When I get the low bandwidth it also turns off my Bing data!! I just updated my internet connection to 200mbs down and 40mbs up and installed a new ASUS RT-AX86U Router!! Currently running a Intel(R) Core™ i7-6700 CPU @ 3.40GHz 3.40 GHz and 32 gig of RAM! Direct
connection from the Router to the computer!! Running on Steam!!
Anyone else having the same problem?
Thanks!!
I keep getting connection lost message every 30 seconds… it reconnects then disconnects again. Only started happening today.
Is this related to the other issue of live weather outage?
How many GB of fiber optics do you have contracted?
I think I fixed my issues by enabling this Teredo thingy in the Xbox network settings. Also enabling this Teredo stuff in my Fritz box, which was disabled.
In those Xbox setting it said that my network was disabled and not qualified, now I am connected.
