msfs-2024
Hello i need help with settings as i don’t think the fps is right with the specs of my pc.
1080P Res 140hz
AMD 9800x3d
RTX 3080
64gb ddr5 cl30
msfs 24 is on a 4tb M.2
yes the photos are at inibuilds YBBN and the fenix A320 but only 40-50 FPS and the CPU Ms is high…
if anyone could give me and ideas to help with fps i would love to try anything, i have done it all from DLSS to TAA to everything on High to all the way low settings.
Don’t get disheartened by the lack of responses. I’m sure, like me, I have looked over everything then had a sustained think about it only to come out wanting.
Do you have any programs operating in the background?
I’m inclined to say that the 3080 is pushing as hard as it can, but I’d expect a bit more (like you).
So, background apps, what do you have running? What Nvidia drivers are you using?
I’m sure the more info you can give better people than I would be willing to step in.
(have you tried DDU’ing your Nvidia drivers then reinstalling?)
Hi there,
In this scenario, your system is CPU limited, so you probably have to lower your Terrain LOD.
Here is a very good guide to optimise your graphic settings, focus on on settings with CPU impact:
Hope it helps, by the way, 50fps, Fenix and an international is not too bad at all.
yeah i know on msfs 2020 the TLOD and OLOD was a cpu killer and on my old 3900x i could only run 10-30 to keep the cpu ms low enough to match gpu ms to keep things smooth. but with this new rig and the 9800x3d cant even run 100 on both LOD like a kick to the face lol im glad i play a lot of other games then msfs so happy on other games
yeah i did see that and ive tried to lower settings to fix it but the game looks like a slightly updated FSX haha and its just not right and gets me a little angry lol to the point im on here just to ask if maybe i was doing something wrong
Try lowering your texture resolution to medium. That could help with your vram usage and you won’t notice a degradation of quality. And the Fenix will use a lot of vram compared to the a320v2 from inibuilds. So try using the inibuilds and compare it to the fenix.
