LSGG Geneva, which one to choose?

In MSFS 2024 there are currently 3 different LSGG airports.

  • Redwing
  • Rdpresets
  • Jetstream-design

I have the redwing one since MSFS 2020 and find it quite ok. The jet d’au is a nice gimmick and the impact on my system is bearable.
This week MSFS 2024 starts giving a pop-up message: upgrade available for 1,69 euro.
I hoped for a free upgrade but apparently it took redwing quite some time and effort to adapt it to MSFS2024.
I cant find any update messages specifying what they actually updated and the pictures at the marketplace are not quite convincing.
So this got me wondering:
What are the experiences with the alternatives (rdpresets and jetstream design) and what are the pro’s and cons of all three of them.

Jetstream Designs’ rendition without even thinking twice. I can’t compare them though because it’s the only version I own but 1) they have a really excellent reputation, 2) it looks awesome, 3) is fps friendly. I own all their airports and I’m just a fan. I have no experience with Redwing but I own some RDPresets airports and they’re also very nice (especially LFML), though some people complain about poor optimisation.

I don’t have the other versions but I agree with mhron.
The only issue I recall with Jetstream was the jetways not work for some (or all). Maybe has been fixed since. It is generally recognized as a solid release.

+1 for Jetstream’s. It’s by Marcus Nyberg — you can guarantee it’s the most accurate and photorealistic version, even if the landside isn’t quite as fancy as RD Presets’. Agree also that RDP’s stuff can be quite resource-hungry but I’ve noticed a huge performance increase (generally) with my hardware in FS2024.

RDP and Redwing certainly don’t update their products as often as Jetstream.

All that said, you’re talking a €1.69 upgrade versus the price of a completely new airport. But if you want the very best LSGG, bite the bullet and buy Jetstream’s.

First thoughts were: lets upgrade it for this small amount.
But I bought it via marketplace and i compared the screenshots with eachother. And the Jetstreams ones look so much more better, crisp and detailed.
And exactly that is what (most likely) everybody is looking for within their sim.
Iam not in a hurry to update but this whole transition to msfs2024 is a good opportunity to evaluate previous purchases and compare quality of the releases and developers.

Just updated the redwing airport.
I dont recommend it, unless pieces of runway flying around while taxiing is a bug within the sim itself.
Graphics wise, i dont have the idea something changed. perhaps Iam doing something wrong or its a rolling cache issue.
but so far Iam considering to get the jet stream edition

Jetstream support is among the best. I have no issues with their LSGG but if I did, I’m confident they’d take onboard and act on any feedback.

I figured it out, it was a beta test issue. Deleted it and now it works fine.
