Maintaining aircraft doesnt fix the issue

So multiple times it warns me that I need to maintain my aircraft, for example my landing gear. I pay to fix it, but it still indicates orange and not green as in “good” condition, as it has never been fixed. Is this a bug or what?

See existing report: Maintenance does not reset

Its not exactly the same issue. I actually maintain my aircraft (fix the issues), but sometimes the issues persist even afterwards.

Oh I see, not sure if there is a report for that, if anyone know, feel free to indicate it here.

Should I maybe move it to another category or add more tags?

I noticed that there is a discrepancy in the threshold that the overview of the main component groups gives and what the detailed list of individual component gives especially in the landing gear section. What I mean by that, is that if you click to see the details of the landing gear, all of them can be green, yet the component group is still saying “to maintain”. It is because the line in the details for the landing gear are green, even when they should be orange. The group overview knows that and indicates “to maintain”, but if you press delegated maintenance, that will not fix it because the individual component is green. Till now I only experienced this with the landing gear individual component (landing gear → landing gear).

Yes i have mostly been seeing this for the landing gear. Paying hundreds of thousands credits to fix this, yet it is not fixed. I would argue that this a bug. Really frustrating.

To add to this, there are also other elements that are green, they seem low, and the technician might say “to maintain”. Here the component groups and the individual components are both green, but the technician still says to maintain. This I experienced with the reservoirs and fuel tanks so far.

But when you maintain it and actually pay, it still says it needs maintenance?

If you don’t find an existing report in the Bug Reporting Hub User Interface & Activities, please feel free to create one, using the provided template with as much information you can. It contains key fields for the devs to try to reproduce your issue and for the community to participate to it.
Also @KiaraLeona provided additional information that may be useful for the devs.

I suggest to not actually care with the “to maintain” / “good” or any other indicator. Check the length of the lines rather. If you feel it can take more flights, its alright. “To maintain” status is actually not yet a problematic status, after that its “worn” and then “out of order”. I always trust the lines next to the components.

I agree. But if you actually pay to fix it, it should be maintained. Thats the issue… i have lost alot of credits because of this.

Is it possible to just move this there or do I need to create a completely new one?

Hm, thats new however, I never lost credits, altough I do check the individual components mostly and maintain them myself. With 100 aircraft, it gets a bit complicated, but I know what I get.

When creating a bug report, it is requested to use the template. So please create a new bug report using the template. This topic can stay in the User Support Hub and be used for discussing that issue.

Try it and see if you encounter the same. I actually pay to maintain the aircraft, i.e fixing the landing gear. And once the money is payed and the maintenance screen “reloads” it still shows orange as “needs maintenance”. Sometimes I have payed 30k+ to fix this but for nothing.

Ill write one tomorrow. About to sleep now.

I will look at it closely next time and see if I have similar issues with the maintenance cost.

Please do and let me now. Maybe im lost or just dont understand the UI.

Here is a screenshot exactly about that problem with the landing gear.
Showing that landing gear group needs mainenance:

Showing that landing gear individual components are good:

The only low lines are the “landing gear” entries. I think they are shown green in the list but they are considered orange in the background. The delegated maintenance doesn’t recognizes it because they are still green.

As for the money, I checked with delegated maintenance comparing prices, and i only paid for the components it repaired (repair always puts them to full health). The landing gear entries under landing gear group were not repaired by the delegated maintenance and was not calculated in the price.
