Some work on stencils and alarm panel radio fonts bla bla bla bla…
Better than the original to my opinion

Some work on stencils and alarm panel radio fonts bla bla bla bla…
I have the same problem. It only turns on if I use a hardware button bound to “AVIONICS_MASTER_1_ON” (in spad.next)
Did you do anything else? I can’t get this to work, they get triggered by spad but I get no reaction at all
Edit: Also I can’t seem to get Prop Deice to assign. The xml says use standard binding, but the one I had on the 930 (where it works) doesn’t in the 850 (TOGGLE_PROPELLER_DEICE). The var PROP DEICE SWITCH:1 also seems to have no effect. Anybody have success with that?
Did anybody get the L:var_EFIS_PowerSwitch to properly function? It triggers the switch animation, but not the EFIS itself.
Does Blacksquare have a discord that you can join?
Please report all Bugs that you find at the Just Flight Forums. There is now even a sperate Topic for Black Square Products only.
this already got reported, do you use a honeycomb hardware ?
Nothing special. Just create the Client Events exactly as shown in the picture below and follow the post:
I now added this code myself to control the condition lever with LVARs:
<Component ID="LVAR_TO_BVAR">
<UseTemplate Name="ASOBO_GT_Update">
<UPDATE_CODE>
(L:TBM850_COND_LEVER_SET, number) s0 0 > if{ l0 1 - (>B:Fuel_1_Condition_Lever_Set) l0 (>L:TBM850_COND_LEVER_VALUE) 0 (>L:TBM850_COND_LEVER_SET) }
</UPDATE_CODE>
<FREQUENCY>1</FREQUENCY>
</UseTemplate>
</Component>
And then in Mobiflight events:
TBM850_COND_LEVER_DEC# (L:TBM850_COND_LEVER_VALUE) ++ (>L:TBM850_COND_LEVER_SET)
TBM850_COND_LEVER_INC# (L:TBM850_COND_LEVER_VALUE) – (>L:TBM850_COND_LEVER_SET)
This works perfectly, but it would be great if the LVARs could be incorporated by Blacksquare!
@Magic6420 your directions on using the TDS unit in standalone mode are a bit outdated.
Always leave the TDS Gauge in the community folder. It needs to be there for certain aircraft (such as Black Square) to automatically disable WT GNS units which conflict with the TDS unit.
To run in stanalone mode, you create a dummy/empty text file called “Standalone.txt” (case sensitive) in the installation path: “C:\ProgramData\TDS\GTNXi”
If you want to run the TDS unit in VC mode delete the “Standalone.txt” file you made in the installation path: “C:\ProgramData\TDS\GTNXi”.
Would it be possible to make a separate hardware binding topic for each aircraft? More and more often I find myself scrolling through pages after pages of SPAD and LVAR talk when I just want to read some info about the actual addon.
That’s akin to the, “cushion of air”, misconception. Ground effect, is a reduction in induced drag = better lift/drag ratio, as the drag-inducing wing vortices are disrupted.
Fair point, but it’s like programming/coding. Shortcuts tend to accumulate, negatively. There are many give-n-takes in say… getting climb/cruise accurate… at the expense of descent/approach. If they have stuck with the Asoso modeling… they (we) may have no choice. How much “layered” modeling (ala A2A), are they willing/able to attempt ?
I’m going to test descent behavior… landing configuration, at/below approach speed, at altitude (to eliminate ground effect as a variable)…
For me the issue here is that we have seen bad implementations of these kind of hidden items, like spoilers. And that led to some undesired behavioural effects as well. A shortcut like that always comes as a cost.
But I do agree: what matters is the end result. We are all keeping ourselves busy in the skies with a fake reality anyway
Is the EADI supposed to show RNAV approach guidance information? The manual says the following:
When an approach navigation source with vertical guidance is detected, the attitude indicator
will receive a black border, in which crosstrack deviation and glideslope information will be
displayed.
The autopilot does capture the approach path, and my PMS50 is showing vertical deviation information so it’s definitely “detecting an approach navigation source with vertical guidance”, but the EADI isn’t showing the green approach guidance indicators like it would with an ILS approach. Is this correct behavior, a bug, or am I just missing something?
For VS you push/pull the knob on the VS/Altitude Selector instrument. For IAS there is no way to see your target like you’d see on a Garmin. It’s an IAS Hold function only, so you press IAS when you’re at the speed that you want to keep. There is a DN UP rocker but it does not seem to work in IAS mode. I’ve seen these rockers work in Pitch Hold mode in similar planes, but I couldn’t make that work when I tried yesterday but I might have done it wrong, as I couldn’t get it to leave IAS mode and enter Pitch Hold (maybe it doesn’t have it?).
Question of intrigue.
Are there different models of the TBM 850? because watching the steveo1kinevo tbm 850 videos his gauges are in this order from top to bottom, TRQ, PROP, ITT, NG, ENG/OIL temps
where as the blacksquare tbm 850, the gauges are in the order from top to bottom, TRQ, PROP, NG, ITT, ENG/OIL temps
so the blacksquare tbm 850 seem to have the NG and ITT gauges the wrong way round
You may have found this already, if so disregard. I had the same issue illuminating the overhead switches. You have to crank up the panel light rheostats from the forward main instrument panel.
Yes thank you, I noticed this VS switch too late. It even says pull for VS.
This is probably not the right thread, but is the GTN750 not able to fly holds? The button is kind of disabled for me.
I’m kind of thinking of buying the TDS. The PMS is more expensive (75 VS 50 EUR it seems) and seems to have way fewer features (ie the glide ring, no holds, the terrain/taws seems weird from screenshots). Other than old AIRAC and no charts there don’t seem to be any downside.
Install the latest version of the GTN750 and the additional WTT package for the TBM.
The HSI doesn’t display the GSI for RNAV approaches with the Asobo AP manager (Asobo issue) but it does with the WT AP manager.
If you own the premium version, the WTT mode brings more feature (holds, visual approaches, vectors to final, etc…).
