The idea is to transform the checklist into a faster and more dynamic process, eliminating visual pollution and adding more value to the copilot.
Create a keybind to initialize the checklist process. Put a voice announcing the checklist and another at the end to indicate the end of the checklist. If it is possible to detect taxi, takeoff, app and other phases to make more checklist announcements, it would be even better. More realism.
Create another keybind so we can automatically turn on or off/buttons indicated in the checklist or say “check” and other kinds of things. This would help the XBOX folks a lot.
Eliminate most of camera changes and simply rotate the view and dial the buttons. Leave camera zooms only for typing things on flight computers, radios or things that are bad for being clickable looking from the default camera position. These blunt changes are bad when you need to get an overview of the aircraft and need to keep a close eye on the outside in congested airspaces.
Prevent the copilot from taking some actions on the aircraft. I don’t remember which aircraft it was exactly because I flew many but there is a checklist that the copilot forced an RPM in a certain phase of the flight (I don’t remember if it was climb, app or cruise). If I am the pilot in command, I make the rpm decision based on what the aircraft manual says and in the conditions which the aircraft is.
And finally, finalize the incomplete checklists for some aircraft.
