Make "Updates Available" in the Content Manager Automatic

This is very annoying and quite clearly needs an Option to allow this to be Automatic please, thanks

I actually desire the opposite. I would like all MSFS program updates to be manual so I could choose to update after the said update errors and problems had been resolved. Nopting the current problems with addons and liveries etc if I had the choice I would not yet have updated to the latest version of MSFS.

I agree more with this approach. I think you can already check one box to get them all, so probably not hard to make an option to do it automatically. I know this is mostly scenery, airport, aircraft stuff, but I believe I have also seen (Mandatory) core updates listed there. But the only way to trigger was to restart the game (which apparently didn’t work either).
Would be nice if they could put all the updates there and let users update on their own schedule.

The one core element that always says restart to update is the module responsible for the “Checking For Updates” screen when you launch. It’s always going to say that unless Asobo/MS decide to hide that element in the Content Manager - which I kinda wish they would. As for the other updates that you have to initiate manually, my suggestion would be to put a notification in the in-game inbox letting you know they’re available, instead of waiting for someone on the forum to say “Hey - check your Content Manager for updates!”

or make that addon optional… not

right on about the notification alert though. Seems like a very appropriate use.

At least give us the option to sort the list based on “update available” status.

I’m requesting the OPTION to have it, not a forced changed on anyone so then it caters for a wide range of users. Right now it’s an unwarranted faff to keep checking for minor updates, whereby the OPTION to choose Automatic would be it seamless.

How are they suppose to fix the bugs when people are on all different versions of the sim?

If I buy a commercial product I do not want to be a guinea pig, call me selfish if you like. There are plenty of users who would manually update to reveal the bugs. All I want is the choice whether to update or not. Same as when MS released Windows 10; you had/have the choice wrether or not to update from windows 7 or 8. It’s all about choice
