You don’t need to touch Tobii’s software, its natively supported in the game, but it is lacking any settings curves etc.
Exactly!
However you most likely need to do the driver update for it to work.
ok.
So will try in game directly.
Yup, it s not part of Tobii’s Game Hub at this time. Need to just run natively in game as others have said.
In the game it was not working, and of course i had updated with latest drivers.
So this is to emphasis that after going thru the whole procedure given by YodaVonBeck75 it is now all working fine.
Thanks.
It’s good to hear that my learnings works for others
Got my Tobii Eye Tracker 5 today from Amazon (with a 15% Black Friday deal - but I just noticed that’s gone now). It arrived on my doorstep in less than 24 hours.
So far… totally plug and play in MSFS.
I can see where people are bothered by the “Eye” tracking and would like to have only “Head” tracking… if I squint enough to keep Tobii from tracking my eyes, then the movement settles down and only tracks my head movement. Clearly some configuration and sensitivity settings are needed (as all are saying).
I had no problem setting both the F12 key and an unused button on my Honeycomb Alpha as an on/off toggle for the tracking.
So far, it’s pretty cool. Tomorrow I’m going to move things around a bit and see if things work better (I’ve got three monitors to deal with, and some mounting options I’d like to try).

Yeah, it seems that once you are on the newest software and drivers, it works
To disable Tobii you can bind a key for the command “toggle head tracking” in msfs options.
post any findings/hints etc you come across - my Black Friday Tobii 5 has just been delivered
it hasnt no zoom option? only rotate and up and down??
I opened up a ticket with Tobii and received word this suggestion would be sent over to their R&D to see if this was possible. Fingers crossed.
@ehrw5059 , happy to help test anything
One thing I noticed this morning…
I changed my Aircraft choice, and when I went into that Aircraft, the “Toggle Head Tracking” button that I had previously assigned, did not work. I had to go back into the Tobii profile and reset it (which by the way does not show that you have even done so).
I’m liking the potential of this tech, but it’s obviously in its infancy, as is the MSFS implementation of it.

Correct, only yaw, pitch and roll at this time Hopefully Z, Y and Z axes to follow in a subsequent update.
Is anyone using this on a larger monitor? I have a 40" monitor. Is it working well for you?
Sounds promising
They do state in many places that 27 inches is the largest screen size they will officially support. I’m using it with a 35 inch ultrawide and most of the screen is usable but tracking gets a little inaccurate in the last 2 or 3 inches at either side.
I too have a 35" 3440x1440 display, and it’s working for the most part. I’m still thinking that the placement of the unit can be improved upon… with my desk there is a great distance between myself and my main monitor, plus I have a few things in between:
When I get some time I’m going to do some experimenting with moving the tracking bar around.
Anyone had any experience with locations other than the suggested “bottom of monitor”?
Jim-Sim
are you on windows 10 or 11? I’m on 11 and the app store has an error downloading the Tobii experience. Also MSFS doesn’t see my tracker - I downloaded latest drivers from the tobii website.
The eye tracking is the issue at this size - even scanning MFDs can make the view jitter / move more than necessary (which can get tiring after a while).
