I’m now kind of curious what was updated for KGRB since it’s my home airport. I did notice a few updates back that the parking was updated so I can now pull straight out after spawning in, instead of being nosed toward the grass and requiring a pushback. That was welcomed.

Yes, parking, especially offset-style GA parking needs to be more like that. The original AI did not know how to do that when creating airport parking and I hope they’ve trained the new AI in 2024 to do it that way. But we also will need a way to push back into those spots after we’ve shut the aircraft down.

Fair enough, but I’m perfectly happy to pull in and let the night shift figure it out while I’m asleep. Lol

This update reset all my preferences to their default values :hot_face: :cold_face: :sob:

KGRB was updated using the World Hub in stages, with three versions to date:

Version 1 included:
-Repositioned Papi4s rwys 18-36 and changed spacing according to aerial.
-Resized runways per Airnav data.
-Changed Vasi22 to Papi4 rwy 6, added Papi4 left rwy 24, positioned and changed spacings per Airnav data and aerial.
-Added aprons to cover paths and other areas not previously covered.
-Changed existing taxiway names to correct names and included all paths indicated on FAA airport diagram.
-Repositioned parking spots to match Ts and named them according to the airport diagram.
-Deleted one Windsock and repositioned two. Left one alone.
-Added Vehicle path to General Aviation Hangar Complex and added two parking spots along the path.
-Added, changed and deleted taxi signs to match IRL taxiway names and airport layout
-Added polygons to include vegetation in areas within the airport as indicated in the aerial
-Added aprons and car parking areas outside of airport, used for casino and hotels.
-Renamed/renumbered Gates to match A and B terminals
-Added Painted Hatched Areas for Terminal A Parking Spots
-Gate area changed to match Bing Maps.

Version 2 added:
-Addressed comment requesting two parking spots be moved closer to jetways.
-Changed pattern runway 18 to Right per Wisconsin Airport Directory
-Moved two FUEL areas to their approximate location per Wisconsin Airport Directory.
-Extended vehicle traffic paths to west and south sides of airport and eliminated connection from south side across runway to force traffic to take eastern route.
-Changed spacing of red lines to more closely match actuals.
-Added more red painted lines to terminal area.
-Added more car parking areas to north of main airport areas.
-Added two helicopter pads in approximate position per Wisconsin Airport Directory.
-Changed gate names to IRL names (Gates A1-A6 and B1-B6). This was missed in the previous version, although it was stated it was included.
-Added more parking spots.
-Split parking spot names into NE, N, SW, S, SE.

Version 3 added:

  • Deleted edge lights from taxiway paths and replaced with light rows
  • Changed some aprons at north end of airport per new Bing Maps aerial

I wonder if this could be a “Cloud Sync” issue? If so, you might try a couple things mentioned in this link.
