I would like to see a shopping cart in the marketplace. I would rather make 1 purchase of multiple items instead of 1 item at a time. Purchasing becomes cumbersome if you want to purchase more than 1 item.

No there isnāt, you have to purchase each item individually.

Surely it woulkd be feasible to add a cart function for purchases
It is annoying that if a person wants say 2 or more items that they have to be bought individually
Please consider this as it would make it more consumer friendly

I think you have to wait as they are just up to the standard of making soft core airplanes but not the cart 
. Maybe you can find some carts from third party addons.

I thought the same thing when I first started making purchases from the Marketplace. After purchasing over 50 items from the Marketplace, I highly recommend only purchasing one item at a time. You need to make sure the scenery or addon doesnāt crash the sim, because it does so more often than youād expect.
It is very frustrating that the Marketplace vendor products arenāt foolproof. After making multple purchases at a time, downloading and installing them, then restarting the sim, it becomes a time consuming chore to figure out which one is now crashing the sim and preventing you from enjoying the addon(s) you just purchased.
I have found it much simpler to purchase a single item, install, then see if it crashes my sim. Asobo must have known they couldnāt fully test every addon in their Marketplace for complete compatability with the sim. One purchase at a time - I now believe this was a wonderful Asobo foresight to limit the frustration of itās customers.
Recommend to purchase only one item at time, test it, then decide if you really want the next item at that moment. Save yourself a lot of frustration, the desire to delete the platform completely, and the urge to write an angry forum post.
My experience with the Marketplace has me wanting the ability to ignore specific developers in the Marketplace, so I never see them again. At this time, the Marketplace has several developers that offer you addons that will waste your time, fail to meet the quality expectations set and offered within the MSFS platform, or there is a duplicate addon that is a ābetterā rendition that is not yet available in the Marketplace.

I too would like to see a multi-buy basket. A while ago I purchased four items. The first two went without problem, but when I tried making the third purchase my credit card company declined the transaction because they saw it as suspicious activity, since it was several purchases made so quickly after another.
However, this is not just a FS issue. The same thing happens if I want to make multiple purchases in the Xbox store outside of FS.

This is an experience I have noticed on the PC. I do not know if this is true for Steam or X-Box purchases.
Issue:
There have been times when I have gone to the Microsoft Store within MSFS and wanted to purchase more than one item - say a couple of aircraft on sale, or whatever, and I have to make each purchase individually.
Expected Behavior:
There is a āshopping cartā that can accumulate purchases which are then paid for at checkout.
Note that this has existed since about fifteen minutes after Al Gore single-handedly invented the Internet and is a standard feature in every on-line purchase setup I have ever seen.
Actual Behavior:
You have to select and pay for each purchase individually, which is both a pain and is beyond archaic, especially since you have to re-authenticate each and every time.
P.S.
Fix more important things first.
Still 1 item at a time. Yikes.

Sadly this topic is almost as old as the simulator itself. While it was somewhat understandable in the early days, because there were other more important issues I guess ā¦ in 2023 this feels somewhat ā¦ odd.
In the first place IMHO the following two are hurting MS/Asobo income:
- A) No shopping cart
- B) The need to (painfully) restart the sim to see/be able to use newly bought items
On the other hand the combination of both did save me a lot of money, as I so often was tempted to buy some airports, after I discovered an interesting new location to visit ā¦ and then decided
ā¦ hmm ā¦ no ā¦ if I have to waste so much life time on buying stuff (due to A) and restarting the sim (due to B) with its painfully long launch time ā¦ well, I so often decided to keep my money, close my eyes and simply leave the departure airport as quickly as possible.
Seeing our beautiful planet in the sim is still such an amazing experience to me, even after 3 years and around 1500 hours. This little goose truly loves it.
But the shopping experience (and the drone roll bug) ā¦ well ā¦ what should a goose say.

This still seems crazy. As others have said Iām reluctant to purchase multiple items due to my credit card issuers response to multiple small purchases. The tone of their voice when I admit to being a middle aged guy spending Ā£50 on video game airports is always entertaining thoughā¦
The issue of installing one add on at a time does make sense but if necessary the software could handle that after purchase.
Please include a shopping cart Asobo, you know it makes sense.

Imagine going to the supermarket to do your weekly shopping, but you have to pay for each item individually at the checkout.
I tend to pop in, check the wishlist for sales and buy to download later so I can move on to flying without rebooting. A cart would definitely help speed that up a ton.
