Micro Stutters on decent/approach or after around an hour (Is it a memory leak?)

Is anyone else having micro stutters just like we had back in the early 2020 days after a longish flight or on approach/decent? I thought it might just be in the fenix but i had it in career mode flying at 2000ft over Holland in the diamond on a VIP mission. Just had it again on decent in the fenix into EGKK and had it a few days ago again in the fenix landing into the new inibuilds ibiza. Doesn’t matter what settings i change or try it keeps happening now on every flight. Sim is absolutely fine when i load in and take off/cruise. Its just when i get on decent to around fl040-080 and below.

Rizen 7 5800x3D
RTX 3080
32GB Ram
Dedicated M2 1TB
Running 1440p

Temps all run fine, ram and memory all withing limits and not maxed out and Frames limited to 30fps.

Wondering if anyone else is having the same at all? Just feels like the same as the early memory leak we had in 2020 with the micro stutters that took absolutely ages for it to be resolved.

All issues caused by or involving third-party addons/mods should be reported to the third-party developer. Assure that no addons/mods are used when reporting issues in Bug Reports.

I also noted returning back to the main menu and restarting the flight i still have the micro stutters, i have to restart the whole flight sim from the desktop to resolve it.

Also below are the settings im using atm and like I’ve said I’ve tried ultra all the way to low and even multiple custom settings.

Me too. Exiting free flight and then starting a new flight setup causes lots of lag. Inputs from keyboard and mouse fail to register during these lag spikes

For me it’s more so towards the end of a flight and seems like a memory issue/leak like we had back in 2020 in the early days. Starts off with great performance and degrades over the course of a flight.

Here is the link for my bug report for anyone to upvote the issue or is having the same problems like we had in 2020 with the micro stutters.

So I thought id fixed my issue. I did a complete uninstall of the Nvidia drivers using DDU Uninstaller. Complete fresh install of my GPU drivers and that was the magic key. VRAM usage is back to normal, no micro stutters and the graphics are the best they have been using DLAA and now the frame gen mod on my 3080 and a steady 105 FPS in the Fenix.

If anyone is having graphic issues then definitely give this a go. Pain in the backside as its a bit of faff but it fixed my micro stutter issues and sudden drop in FPS upon landing.

Newest Nvidia driver installed (566.36) December 5th 2024 release. All other drivers are up to date on my rig including mobo, windows 11 and cpu drivers.

Might be worth a go if your having performance issues.

Hope this helps some out, i know it wont fix everyone’s issues as it still has its bugs but this just might help a few.

Here’s a link to the display driver uninstaller software.

Micro stutters are back the next day flying in a different area even though the sim performance is 70FPS+

Ive just found that whilst having the stutters, i reset my rolling cache and the stutters went. I set it at 100gb, re typed 100gb and pressed save and the stutters went. Its a cache issue for the micro stutters.

This bug is old. Just sit on the runway and toggle in and out of VR til the sim grinds to a halt. I swap back and forth a lot for screenshots.

This was the bug that was in 2020 and now it seems its in 2024 also. Frustrating!
