Microsoft Boat Simulator

Boats can’t fly lol  :joy:

Who’s going waterfall jumping in the boat? :joy::joy:

Hopefully there’ll be a fishing rod mod and we can anchor up in the sun do some fishing :fishing_pole: :+1:

The boat isn’t half bad.

However, while setting up custom camera views, I discovered clipping through one of the “passengers” on the boat, that said passengers are…uh, fully modeled assets.:laughing:

Sadly, because of this, I think the product may be pulled and redone.

I’m going to have go for the price and go to palm island Dubai

Oh, psssshhhh. I, along with many others, wholeheartedly believe, if Asobo can work out the kinks, we could have a Microsoft Simulator metaverse.

It’s been discussed so many times on this forum, a lot of us would love something like that.

It may be that your suggestion was a little ‘tongue in cheek’, but i do sometimes wonder if MS might have bigger, longer-term, plans for the MSFS world and will open it up for 3rd party developers with slightly different specialisms to make use of?

Possibly not good examples, but imagine a future DCS World based on the MSFS globe or your suggested truck and maybe even full ship transport simulators.

I’m probably too old to ever see it happen, even if that is their plan, but one can dream.

Edit: ah, reading later posts, as I perhaps should have done before posting, it would appear that I’m not the only one with this dream. :stuck_out_tongue:

I want trimaran sailboats that you can fully explore in VR. They should also be affected by waves, wind and current. Also underwater radar, so that you can lookout for riffs and are able to anchor. One day maybe

Yes they can, but with the ballistics equal to a Steinway and sons piano

The metaverse is coming, one day you’ll get to track your brand new 9xxx series gpu from the Taiwan factory right to your door - visually in VR

I know, I know, I know.

But you do understand don’t you that our sim is the only one which offers points in furtherance of the Real Life Sailors Certificate of Paddle Boat Competence and is the only real choice for serious simmers. All the other sims are just boating games for gamers or scenery simulators :slightly_smiling_face:

Reading some of the comments, i can assume that for many, such an implementation can steal a wishful thinking from a simulator. Just assume its a game and it probably will stay that way.
Sailing a ship will probably be more realistic than flying a plane.
It might become a big mess, or it might make it a perfect game. We’ll find out someday.

Ah, but will it have the right mast flex? :stuck_out_tongue:

We will see if it does! :victory_hand:

I don’t mind msfs expanding as long as they don’t loose the core of this… Flight simulation!! that still has to be the focus along with scenery improving.

If the extra things takes development away from aircraft then I’ll leave my boat on the trailer when msfs releases an F150 with trailer that is :joy: and jump back into the air. The last thing anyone wants is Devs time split between developing Jet Ski’s or another awesome plane!

Surely there will come a day when Asobo will announce ‘You’ve had enough freebies for your sixty bucks’ and from there on out does it really matter who produces the aircraft?

No it doesn’t to be fair I’m waiting on a couple more then can’t see me needing any other planes anyway. So I’ll welcome some different things to try as long as it has an engine I’ll be happy to try it :joy:

Well now… I wonder if they will have a Microsoft tree simulator… Where you sit in a tree with your legs dangling and swaying back and forth.. as you watch planes land and takeoff…

:joy::joy::joy::rofl::rofl:

Please dont sue me. I just had to… !!:joy:

Tree simulator :joy::joy: As long as we can make tree houses with ziplines :+1::joy:

Scary to think where the sim will be in 10 years… I’ll probably be sitting on my pc in VR in my virtual house playing on the virtual pc on msfs :joy:

Going to have a sail this afternoon anyway for the heck of it, shame there’s no currents up rivers or seas or realistic waves to go with it…
