My version of FS2024 is also extremely unstable. Keeps freezing. Yesterday it froze on the aircraft library. Usually when flying it freezes and then i get the CTD. Same in VR too. I have not completed a full flight yet either. First the sim freezes and sound vanishes, for 10-20 seconds, and then i get a CTD.

CTD also, after 4 hours of flying time it freezes and crashed
Coming up on a week and not one flight. I have reloaded windows twice. Loaded the sim 3 times. Except for the required drivers for the OS, the only other driver I loaded was for my Nvidia rtx 4070 Ti. I also tried all the other suggestions recommended above. Any other suggestions greatly appreciated.

I have same issue since launch - just 2 20 min sessions trying to map some keys in a test flight. Tried everything - it is the sim not us given the extraordinary lengths people are going to.
Since FS2024 came out, i have only completed one flight, a local flight from Chicago Midway to downtown and to KPWK, Chicago Executive; a 20 minute flight. Other than that, the sim has constant CTD’s, even when just moving around in the menu or programming controls. It really is unplayable and really sad.
The pre-release video they played was made with clever cinematography rather than in-game. Heck, i cant even get my camera to be behind my character’s shoulder , like they show in the videos. I cant even get it to run.
I am just flabbergasted at how many bugs there are in the sim. If Asobo does not start fixing the essentials soon, specially CTD’s, there will be major defections.
- Fix stability issues, CTD’s on an emergency basis. Specially the dreaded ‘out of memory’ CTD, the 0xc00005 one.
- Fix the bugs in the essential, most popular aircraft. [For example, i paid extra $$$ for the
Aviator edition for the Steam gauge C172, and it is completely broken]. - Then work on the community wish list/ bug list : [here are some of my pet peeves]-
a] Trees are everywhere including where they shouldnt be, and way too many conifers.
b] Fly By view and Chase view. This has been an ‘ask’ from day one of FS2020!
c] Water is too mirror-like and smooth .
d] ATC menu is broken, specially voicing. ATC starts replying to you, before you even
complete your request, and speak over you.
e] In VR, the mouse does not click on the knobs or buttons.
f] Post-flight, implement the pilot being able to place the chocks, pitot covers, etc back
before tying down and securing the plane
Exactly the same as you - surprised that after 10 days of nothing but crashes I managed a short flight earlier today and now back to CTD all the time
just had that error happen to me,never seen that one before
Since the release I had 9 hrs of flight time (mainly with ATR - short ones, about 50-60 mins each flight and a few with inibuilds a320).
Today, so far i’ve been trying to complete a 30 mins flight with ATR without any success, it’s either CTD still on the ground or a few mins after takeoff.
Just found out that FBW fixed the engine problem in their A32nx, and I’m absolutely afraid to even try it because of the waste of time of constantly trying to overcome the CTD.
i feel your pain,just did a short flight from egns-eggd,during climb auto pilot switched of,fd switched of got ■■■■■■ with it and exit to main menu then it crashed,its getting worse imo,hopefully next week with the big patch things might get better
In my case, it was the FSLTL injector. Whenever I turned it on today, I had a CTD either on the ground or a few mins after takeoff. Had this 5 times in a row, on the 6th time, I didn’t turn it on and perfectly completed a short route with ATR from RCSS to RCQC.
After that, had a longer flight, again without turning on the injector, from LCLK to LSZH with FBW A32nx (finally working in msfs 24) and again - completed without a problem.
So as long as FSLTL isn’t compatible with the sim, don’t turn on the injector.
Just before the flight is ready to start, it crashes. Regardless of what you do, it has been the norm since last Wednesday 12/7
The fix for the mouse not being able to control knobs and buttons in VR mode is to hit escape on your keyboard, then hit escape again and it will come back working. (not some button set to escape, just use the keyboard. I know that sounds crazy, but it’s the fix for the mouse and it’s easy).
Sorry if I have said this before, if you get crashes, remove items in your Community Folder and try again.
If you still have issues, carry out a repair of both Gaming Services and FS2024 and try again.
If you still have issues, check Windows integrity and update drivers, etc.
I had a few CTDs but they were associated to FSTL.
What do you mean to do a repair of ‘Gaming Services’ ? .
I just did a fresh re-install of FS2024, as one youtuber recommended doing. Supposedly, People who installed on Day 1 may have got some corrupt files, or something about when the servers crashed and they moved over to different servers, it may have messed something up.
But i would like to know how we do a repair of Gaming services ? thanks
interestingly enough I only have CTDs while working in the SDK’s scenery editor. Even with an otherwise empty Community folder. Setting a Polygon or doing some terrforming and the sim suddenly hangs for a couple of seconds and you know the CTD is next.

In most cases, there is no need to reinstall.
I believe I narrowed the issue down to my Nvidia driver for my RTX 4070Ti. (Looking at the event log I either get a Nvidia .DLL or the Flightsim itself).
My crashes don’t even get through the start up videos that run. Sometimes I do make it all the way through to the flight deck but then it crashes.
My other issue is the Career option. I can set the airport but it then just sits there.
I have yet to have a flight.

Hi, I have a 4090 and using the latest driver (use app and do clean install) and both FS2020 and 24 work well.
I had NVidia on the phone for about 2 hours earlier. There are 2 setting in the Nvidia control panel they suggested to update. Need to go to Manage 3D settings. Goto the program settings and select MS Flight Sim 2024. Once there go to “Power Management Mode” and set it to “Prefer maximum performance”.
Then goto the Global settings Tab and do the same thing. Select MS Flight Sim 2024. Once there go to “Power Management Mode” and set it to “Prefer maximum performance”.
Having done all this, I still can’t make it pass the start-up video. Very frustrating!
