I’m sure you are tired of hearing this but for us that purchased the LCE for over $300 (in the US) which I purchased back on September 24th and we don’t even get it on release day is completely unacceptable. I hope ya’ll plan on doing something for the 5000 people that spent the most and got shafted. It’s just so disappointing.
If I remember downloads were the issue with the previous FS release - so no surprise that although the 12GB game file installed in no time with a 300Mb/s connection it’s sitting forever on 5% loading language - with no real network activity - I didnt see this on the tech alpha
I completed my install with Steam. Rebooted PC as instructed. Launched 2024 again, and I’m back to Loading Language…On the second launch, activating packages now…Successfully reached the home screen on second launch. Third launch, loading Languages 0%…And pressing ESC makes the sim go away.
Absolute no understanding for not coming up with a preload (that deserves the name). Guys, this mess is house made. Again.
Tomorrow, everything will work fine, I know. Just waiting for another “we were overwhelmed by how many people tried to play at once” message and “promises to handle it better in the future”.
I doubt the preload would help - the game file is really small and downloads quickly - its what happens at runtime thats the issue - not looking good for a streaming game

I’m afraid “paying the most” is rather akin to doing a major donation, not to becoming a valuable customer. They already got your money and you’re not likely to spend significantly more than anybody else at least probably within the next four years.
