Really shouldnt have to launch the game 4 times in a row just to get the “Start” button to show up

It’s clear as day this was rushed, untested, and not ready
just another Microsoft way to get more $$ from their fans. Sad.

I did the repair function and that solved it for me.

I have been playing it, getting use to the quirks in the planes. I have seen that if I crash and it take me back in the air to try to land again, the program crashes quite a bit. Still seeing error on weather data pop up a lot. But still a work in progress. I think the events, the photo taking and career is nice. Think that the planes needed to be perfected before all this other was added. The scope may have gotten to large. Feel that it should be really good flight simulator and a fun adventure feature second, but it is nice to have some events and things to do other then point A to point B. Well tonight will be 2025! So hoping the teams do some dramatic work on 2024. Think 2020 needs to be set in stone and move on and less programmer development and programmers shifted over to 2024
2025
2026. Have a Happy New Year!!!

This forum isn’t letting me post anything but replies. It says I’m level 1.

Hi it’s bab your dispatcher, YA KNOW!? Horrible, repetitive AI script. No one in aviation says Landing Runway TREE FIFE!! Taxi to blue box keeps changing locations as u approach it, once inside you can’t hit the input to taxi to parking. Buildings-scenery is randomly on the runway. Needs lengthy flight testing, GRIND is way to long to move outta the c172! I want my marketplace purchases and a user friendly community folder to add planes.

you need to spend active time in the forum, read posts, write replies, maybe give and receive likes, then your trust level will increase. I had this a couple of days before and now I can add links and edit my posts etc. There is a short tutorial in your PM section with a bot when it happens.

Sure..

Keep in mind that the sim developers are french and EASA regulations may have a greater influence in the sim than the FAA this time. “Tree” is english radio for three in Europe. the english “th” followed by an american r is hard to understand if radio quality is bad.

No one in aviation says Landing Runway TREE FIFE!!

From the transport Canada phraseology

In real life, everyday experience, you will be hard pressed to hear ‘tree fife’ on the aviation bands, at least in the USA anyway.

Feedback subject: Carreer mode, airplane mechanic status
Feedback: The status nominators of the different plane parts “new”, “good”, “to maintain” etc, have to be looked at or gotten rid of. This is the second time that I have flown a plane that has a nomination of “New” and “Good” over all the different plane part catagories and during a 2 hour flight has an engine failure, while I take care not to stress the engine and keep the engine running in the green during the whole time. If I take care of the engine and it breaks down in midflight, it should NOT have gotten a “good” rating by my mechanic for only a 2 hour flight, even if it is a lousy Cesna.

Now, was that really needed? I never once suggested that.

I think Career Mode needs to be less scripted.

An objective should be set (i.e. deliver this plane in as good a shape as found) but the actual doing left to the pilot, more akin to NeoFly.

Then, when the mission is over credits awarded based on performance, whatever that maybe (i.e. landing performance, flaps usage, holding short, etc.), and the Pilot can try to do better next time, without the script or set boxes to hit. In other words, a bit more more dynamic.

i believe those are the pronounciations recommended for the non-english speaking, in aviation english is the default universal language so i think it would make more sense for the characters to say three instead of tree

Actually, the recommended pronunciation comes from a time when radios were less advanced and messages could be misunderstood due to the poor reception.

“T-ree” for 3 sounded more definitive on the airways than “thu-ree”

“It is called the “NATO” alphabet because it was standardised by the NATO member countries back in the 1950s to allow accurate exchange of radio messages between air, naval and army forces of all the NATO member nations.

They had to make sure that each chosen word sounded different to the others, and was easily pronounceable by speakers of all the European languages, not just in English.

It is now very widely used by all types of “professional communicators” including air traffic control, the police and other emergency services, shipping, etc and in all types of business.“

Source: The NATO Phonetic Radio Communications Alphabet

It’s how I learned in U.S. Army Basic Traning

It is standard ICAO phraseology, doesn’t matter whether you are an English speaker in an English speaking country or not. There might be others operating in the same airspace that don’t have English as first language. Weirdly everyone does say “niner”, so not very consistent. I have to admit I have never used “fower” and I’m pretty sure nobody would understand what I’m talking about if I would .

I’m here in the SE USA. I’ve been trying all morning to get into the game but it crashes randomly while loading-- at 2%, 17%, 5% etc. I’m so frustrated. Help Asobo!!

Wasn’t serious about that, hoped the emoji made that clear .

PC, store copy fs2024 v1.2.8. At International airports - so many gliders parked at the boarding gates. Often have to park the A320 on top of a glider : (
