Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 General Feedback

“Alright, genius, why don’t you provide a detailed guide on setting up my mouse, joystick, and controller? I’ve looked everywhere and can’t find one. Also, you’re completely ignoring the constant bugs and the frequent restarts caused by errors—care to address those?”

Where is the analoge feedback of the controller output in calibration menu?
There is non. The setup in the old 2020 menu was more straight forward then in the new one.

I’m surprised there is no hotfix for the Xbox freelook mouse issue. The poor LOD and mouse bugs on console will stop simmers from buying anything on the 2024 marketplace
If they can’t reproduce the mouse issue they have serious in house testing problems, it’s widespread for console users and the evidence will be in the lack of marketplace revenue for xbox

Hello @Barcode4444,

We have posted a thread explaining how to setup controls in MSFS 2024 in the Tips & Troubleshooting section of the forums here:

This thread contains links to our own Zendesk support site and also to a few YouTube tutorials created by members of the community.

Thanks,
MSFS Team

No, he is a person. The forum moderators and “community managers” are real people. Most are volunteer, some are paid. I believe they all do their best under the direction and restriction Microsoft gives them.

Mostly you’ll only get support from other users here - the forum team have a specified role of moderating, as far as I know.

I hate that mount on the DA62, it is blocking primary field of vision and can’t be removed. It can’t be legal to stick it there.

Hopefully, that also pertains to some of the forum moderators, too.

Man, it seems like this forum has just become deluged with acerbic commentary that seemingly has just been ignored.
Some of it is understandably and somewhat justifiably normal human “venting”, but also there’s a good deal of simple, uncloaked nastiness that is over the top.

I notice that I have been skipping over more and more posts lately because of it. And in so doing, sadly I have probably missed some very good advice/suggestions that might be buried in such negativity.

I think you forgot to also mention the time element. A hotfix is usually published within days, if not hours.
Hence the name HOTfix.

I’m on Xbox S
From this morning after having planned the flight both with Efb and the world map, when you press the fly button, it never loads, if you then press esc the whole simulation freezes, I reloaded several times but nothing changes, until Now this has never happened, does it happen to any of you too?

Curious- why is such a late time chosen?

It’s a 24 hour world. Pick your time zone, and 23 others won’t be happy.

I just hope the next stream is 1.5 hrs long and is fully dedicated to the mess we’re in. Meaning not giving 40 minutes to a partner or special guest to talk about a very niche system or avionic tool.

Dear Microsoft Flight Simulator Team,

As an avid supporter of Microsoft Flight Simulator, I deeply appreciate the incredible work that has gone into making it a groundbreaking platform. However, I feel compelled to address an ongoing concern that has been shared by many in the community: the lack of clear and consistent communication from the team.

This absence of dialogue creates frustration within the community and makes it challenging for third-party developers to excel in their contributions. Specifically, the lack of testing environments for Xbox developers significantly hampers their ability to optimize and deliver quality products. Developers are crucial to the success and longevity of the platform, yet they are left without essential tools to do their job effectively.

I urge the team to prioritize better communication and provide developers with access to the necessary resources—such as Xbox testing capabilities—to ensure the continued growth and success of Microsoft Flight Simulator.

Thank you for taking the time to consider this feedback. I look forward to seeing improvements in this area soon.

not having the option to download more of the sim like in 2020 is one of the most baffling decisions they decided to make with this sim, and the performance issue caused by increasing the amount of assets streamed to the user is very evident. I personally have gone back to MSFS 2020 for the time being.
