My last MSFS2020 is still dated 05/2023
there was no XboxGames folder for me yet - the smaller part of the installation is on C:
The community and main part is on D:MSFS2020, can I then simply create a new folder on D:MSFS2024? or how do I get to the XboxGames folder, which does not exist on my computer…
When 2020 came out, if you installed it in the default location, you couldn’t edit files even in your Community directory. Not to mention at the time 2TB SSD’s were prohibitively expensive so of course I didn’t want it on C anyway. (Even now, my 1TB FS SSD filled up, so I had to use Addon Linker from my spinny disk for Community.)
So I installed MSFS2020 on D:\MSFS2020. This also avoided all the long filename issues many people had installing things to the default location.
I didn’t watch the video, so maybe he’s doing something else? The only content in my D:\MSFS2020 directory is Official\OneStore, Community, and Community-empty for swapping with Community at install time. So maybe I still have what @TenPatrol suggests?
I plan to do the same for 2024.
Has Addonlinker been updated with a 2024 version?
yes, a new Version is available…
MS2024 is installed, the auto download in the queue worked great!
Up and running in 2024
