Microsoft Flight Simulator passes 2 million players and is fastest-growing sim of the series. Congratulations!

Millions of Xbox players soon to Join soon, thus ending the short-time of anything other than this being a sim for Xbox. Fantastic to see.

Looking forward to seeing the pretend pro pilots riling angrily against the newbies on consoles.

I highly doubt they will abandon 2 million PC users. The framework for a great sim is already in place for the PC version, it’s just a matter of polishing them all. Xbox is a good thing IMO, it gives them more funding to improve this simulation.

Not sure about how long it’ll take to see millions of Xbox users joining in. For the time being the Xbox series X is becoming more rare than a $500 bill.

Healthy sales will insure a long and prosperous life for the developers, 3rd party addon creators and users of MSFS! Here’s to the future of our hobby…! Thank you MS/Asobo!

And you were disappointed for which reason exactly ? The purpose for a flight sim should be flying imho.

Marketing… nothing else…

Someone’s bitter. :joy:

There’s nothing strange in someone trying those sims out of the box and being disappointed.

Piling hundreds or thousands of dollars of add-ons on top of them can make them viable and enjoyable products, but nowadays the “out of the box” experience they offer is very, very rough, even if you simply want to “just fly.”

Lol … the number is unreal and I can hardly believe it. With Xbox why not … we’ll see … (I’m very happy with the simulator and not bitter … no worries …)

There’s nothing unreal about these numbers. That’s what an AAA game usually does, and this is certainly AAA, with AAA marketing and resources behind it.

The times of sims selling 20-30k copies because they’re worked on by a small team starved of resources and doing no marketing are over.

By “nowadays” you mean since 1982 right?

If this is true, then well done! Respect … but I remain skeptical …

More like 2006.

I think a lot of people including myself use NYC as a benchmark location.

I doubt they are making it up

MS is a publicly traded company. It’s literally illegal to make it up, as it could affect stock value.

That is the way I look at it. I still use P3D 5.1 because the planes work better, but next year msfs 2020 should be much better.
