Microsoft sign in at startup - Does not allow mouse focus to allow typing

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue: On the initial MSFS2024 loading screen, I accidentally turned on another device that signed me out of steam/msfs during loading… After being presented with the Microsoft sign in screen to log into my MS account, I’m unable to maintain focus on the field so that I can type username and password information

[PC Only] Did you remove all your community mods/add-ons? If yes, are you still experiencing the issue?

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)?
EVERY ■■■■■■■■ TIME… Wasn’t this fixed back in 2024 after launch?!!

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

  1. Start MSFS2024 via steam
  2. During startup, sign out of steam or start up a steam deck
  3. Attempt to log into the Microsoft Login screen

I resolved this myself by doing the following in Windows 11:

  1. I manually signed out of my MS account from the XBOX app,
  2. restarted the Microsoft Account Sign-In Assistant service from the services.msc tool.
  3. Restarted MSFS2024 via Steam
  4. Clicked on the Sign in button
  5. Continued Sign in Process

I’m not sure why, but I think MSFS locked my MS account… I had to restart the Microsoft Account Sign-In Assistant. It then let me type in stuff, but I was presented with a message that my account was locked. I reset my PW before it allowed me to log into MSFS.

My theory is that when I got logged out, the MS account sign in assistant held something in cache was was not valid and locked my account, disallowing the login screen from functioning properly.

Sounds like my issue back in MSFS2020

I have this too, I found I can R click with mouse and at the same time enter the letter/number on keyboard. It is a one letter/digit at a time process - Laborious but it worked.
