I’ve just started exploring Vietnam in the skymaster, this would be perfect.
We did the toilet… but not the sink… oh well…
Any news on progress?
TG
Funny I sought out this thread earlier today hoping for an update
I emailed Milviz last month asking for an update and I was told it is still being worked on with no eta.
It’s still in the production queue. We will have news on this soon(ish).
But I want it now…
“Milviz has a bunch of products being worked on at a given time, which sometimes makes it hard to track them all down. Remember the A-1H Skyraider? Earlier his year it was estimated to be out around March… clearly, that hasn’t happened, and we stopped hearing news about that aircraft… until now. Milviz revealed that the Skyraider has been sold to another company! We don’t know who, but it’s now up to them to release the Skyraider for MSFS. We’ll stay on the lookout!”

Developers need to stop with too much “bla bla bla”
In this forum Milviz said the SP1 update for the 310R was “coming soon” and that was on June 7! more than 2 months ago… and still nothing. Most developers should stop this and just talk about something when they are sure. Most posts from developers here is the same thing. “Coming in the next days”
“Coming 2nd week of August” etc… And never happens. Its their fault.
Message to developers: Only talk about release date when you guys are sure about that.
When going to talk about a release date, just say: We will talk about release date, when the project is ready and we actually have one.
The truth is most updates or launches are not coming before the next week when SU10 launches.
So developers should let consumers know instead of lying or false promises.
It´s easy to say we need more time, someone is sick, we found another bug… This happens in the game industry in general. Thats why some good developers only talk about release date when they have one.
Here we have an exemple: “It’s still in the production queue. We will have news on this soon(ish).”
by a developer. Never updated us and now we know that the project is not even with them anymore.
Like they care to update us who are the ones who make their projects possible
and now we found out that the project was sold to another developer. So a big lie.
Which project was sold to another developer? And which developer? Edit: Nevermind. Skyraider, and apparently the other company is unknown.
And don’t forget the steam gauges version of the PC-6.
It seems to have disappeared in the far sky !
Or was it only a “trap” to sell the first version ? I’m really wondering…
I´m ok waiting, but they need to stop pumping everyone with “coming soon” / “in a few days” / “next week” thing. At least they are not talking about release date for the steam gauge version
What we know now is that Milviz is changing their name, no info about the 310R update so far, only that is coming soon… About the others i have no idea, but better this way instead of telling us next week and its in 4 months
And this topic project is not even in their hands anymore, was sold to another developer. Who knows.
When a project is sold to another developer, we have no idea on what the final product will be.
One things is being launched by Milviz or Blackbird now. Another is launching from so far unknown developer. And this was said that was coming in March… I lost how many times developers claim updates and launches and never come even close to the date announced. So why put a date if they are not sure?
Let’s not forget they are working on the Beaver for Microsoft, and that is going to be a HARD release date, whereas normally things get finished when they’re finished.
My bet is, when they signed the contract, they looked at the work ahead of them and decided to cut their losses on the other products so they could go full bore on the Beaver and make sure it’s finished on time, and they felt the monetary payback would be better this way…
For whatever reason.
Maybe they don’t want to be associated with military aircraft anymore?
Maybe they started a new company and sold it too that? Like, maybe the team split up and the other company is just a portion of Milviz and other people who started the new company…
Who knows. No sense getting angry or exasperated by it all. It is what it is. It’s not like you don’t have other choices to fly.
Interesting news, though.
The reason as to why is that we find more things to impliment and push our aircraft further in quality. Whenever we think we’ll be close to wrap, a new idea or development comes into play. Our motto has always been “quality or why bother?” and that’s essentially the one phrase to summarize why the delays occur (excluding situations that are out of our hands ex: staff sick) !
Did we ever find out which dev it was sold to? Or do we know what the progress of it is? I’m a big skyraider fan and am sad to see it was sold so long ago, can’t believe I never thought to check the forums.
I would love this bird too… hopefully it doesn’t get Embrace(red): purchased and eliminated.
I hope not. That seems to be the Milviz Bobcat’s fate. //42 bought it and then scrapped it. I’m still hoping they sold the assets to someone who will build it, but there’s been no clear indication.
Is that true? If so, //42 just went down a few notches on the reputation meter.
I’d rather they make aircraft instead of buggies for a Flight Simulator and scrapping cool projects.
