Missing AIRAC data after update 3

After Sim Update 3, there are no departures or approaches in the flight planner, there are no com frequencies listed for airports, and there are no VORs or NDBs active.

Detailed steps: go to the flight planner and choose departure and arrival airports (e.g. CYVR - CYYC); choose IFR low or high altitude, and no departures, arrivals or approaches show up in the menus. In flight aircraft navs don’t show any procedures, there are no airport radios (just a generic “traffic”), although there are centers. There are no VORs or NDBs either.

I have almost the same issue. Additionally there appears to be no way of loading a previously saved flight plan now.

What Nav Data are you using? Do you have any Mods Loaded?

I’m seeing Departures and Arrivals. And I confirmed they’re present in the Nav Data using an EFP (Little Nav Map).

I only have the WT G1000 Mod loaded, but that’s not going to affect the AIRAC cycle data at all. It’s simply going to read it like the stock G1000.

Are you Navigraph data subscribers by any chance? That’s the only thing I can think of at this point.

I do not have navigraph installed. I did in the past but at this point my Community folder is empty.

It’s very common for parts of an update to fail. Sometimes this results in CTDs. Sometimes this results in the sim not starting, or getting into an infinite upload loop. The nav data update didn’t download for you. Try restarting the sim a few times. Try checking if there is anything in Content Manager that needs updating. Try waiting a day or two

One additional idea:

Open your content.xml file and look for the line “fs-base-nav”. When the “active” attribute is “false”, set it to “true” and start your sim …

Check the MS store to see if you didn’t get a bit of the update (if you’ve the store version of course)

  • I’ve had my computer off for two days
  • Started MSFS just now, there were no updates to download, but now there is data.

That’s . . . special.
